"Tokyo! We're finally here!"

The swim team from Thailand has finally arrived in the land of the rising sun for the Olympics. Although the game was delayed for a year due to the global pandemic, they were still as fired up as they were a year before.

If not, they were more than prepared now. A year more of preparation was more than enough for the athletes.

"Okay guys, let's get out luggage. The bus is already here." The team manager said after he counted each and everyone of them. Unlike before, they weren't able to bring more athletes because of the regulation. They won't even be able to stay until the closing ceremony due to the rule on which athletes need to leave the country within 2 days after their events ended.

And since swimming is one of the more popular sports, their event will end earlier and the pool will be used for other events after that.

The team grunted in answer and began walking towards the baggage claim. After that they will need to go through the custom process and get another swab test before they can finally leave the airport.

"Captain, how's the flight?" Ohm, the captain of the swim team, smiled at his teammate, Peterpan who had slung his right arm around his shoulder as they walked behind the others.

"It's okay." He replied, short.

It wasn't okay, he's a tall man and the area between his seat and the seat in front of him was too small there wasn't any space for him to even straighten them up. The only time he could get it straightened up was when he got up to go to the toilet. And even that was not much since he's seated near the window and he really didn't like troubling the other 2 who were seated beside him if he needed to get up.

So he only actually got up once for the whole entirety of the 5 plus hours of flight from Bangkok to Tokyo.

"Oho~ Captain is too nice. I know you're not comfortable. Even I'm not comfortable. Bet everybody's aching now." Peterpan said. Ohm nodded. He couldn't help but to agree since the team all have long legs so of course the flight was a bit unbearable for them.

"Maybe we need to get a gold medal then they'll get us a first class when we go back."

Ohm chuckled. "Maybe."

After the long process in the airport which took them around 2 hours, they finally arrived at the Olympic Village.

Since they were one of the first few teams that arrived there weren't as many athletes yet, and it was still a bit before noon so maybe more will come later that evening.

They were brought to their building and assigned rooms each. Ohm was more than glad that one building will be filled with Thai athletes. As much as he didn't mind making friends, but having to converse in a different language was still a struggle for him. Also, being surrounded by Thai people will make him miss home just a little less.

There might be another reason but he'll keep that to himself, for now.

"Alright, so we'll have a few hours to laze around before we have to go to the swimming stadium." Ohm said, relaying the message that the team manager told him before. The other occupants of the room replied with a "khab!".

"Are we allowed to walk around?"

"Coach said it's okay, as long as you inform them and only walk around the village." Ohm replied, the others nodded their heads. Getting excited. They've only got to see a bit of the village when they arrived earlier and they can't wait to explore the place.

"I'm so hungry, should we go to the dining hall?" Kao, one of the oldest in the room, said after throwing his luggage to his shared room with Boun who nodded his head.
