"Fluke, still waiting?"

Fluke's mother sits beside him on the couch and strokes her son's soft hair lovingly. Fluke nods and wraps his short arms around his mother's waist, buries his face against her chest.

"Why Ohmmy still not here, mommy?"

Fluke's mother can trace a hint of sadness in her five years old son. She smiles and kisses the top of Fluke's head.

"He will be here soon. Do you miss him?"

Fluke nods once again and soft sobs can be heard.

"But you just met him yesterday."

"Yesterday is yesterday. Today is today. It's completely different, mommy. Noo wants to see Ohmmy."

Fluke looks up and there are stains of tears on his cheeks. His mother wipes the tears with her thumbs.

"He will come soon."

"Are you sure, mommy?"

"Yes, I am sure, Fluke. Ohmmy wants to see you too."

The moment Fluke's mother finished her words, the bell to their home rings. Both mother and son look at each other.

"See? That must be him."

Fluke's mother stands up, leaves the living room to open the door. Fluke jumps off from the couch and follows his mother. He hides behind his mother's legs when his mother opens the door.

"Aunty! Ohmmy is here now!"

For no reason, Fluke's heart starts beating a little bit faster. His best friend is here. Ohm is here. His Ohmmy is finally here.

"Well, hello there Ohm. Are you here to see Fluke?"

Ohm nods his head enthusiastically.

"Okay then. I will leave you two boys alone."

Fluke's mother leaves so suddenly and Fluke stuns and stands there looking at his best friend now his mother is already gone.

"Noo? What are you doing behind aunty's legs?"

Fluke's eyes start to water and soon tears roll down his puffy white cheeks once again.

"Noo? Why are you crying?"

Ohm approaches his best friend slowly and strokes Fluke's hair. Fluke rubs his eyes to wipe off the tears but still sobbing.

"N-Noo....Noo thought Ohmmy won't come see Noo today."

"Of course Ohmmy will come to see Noo every day, especially today."

Ohm stretches out his other hand and Fluke blinks his eyes to see a cute, small cupcake in Ohm's palm.

"Sorry Ohmmy is late today. Since today is Noo's birthday, Ohmmy wants to give Noo this cupcake. Mom helped Ohmmy to bake it since it was so hard when Ohmmy did it alone."

Fluke still blinks his eyes like a clueless kid. But once he understands what Ohm said, his gummy smile appears slowly.

"Ohmmy made this cupcake just for Noo?"

"Yep! Just for Noo!"

Ohm flashes his angelic smile and receives a tight hug from his best friend.

"Thank you, Ohmmy. Ohmmy is the best!"

"Now, pretend there's a candle on this cupcake. Make a wish and blow the candle okay?"

"Okay."

Fluke closes his eyes and after a second or so, he blows the imaginary candle.

"What does Noo wish for?"

"Fluke wishes to celebrate Fluke's birthday with Ohmmy every year for the rest of Fluke's life!"

"R-Really?"

"Uh-huh! Fluke wants Ohmmy with Fluke forever!"

Ohm kisses Fluke's lips for a very short time and Fluke's cheeks tinted with pink colour. Fluke bites his lips and looks down on the floor. He is embarrassed. His best friend just kissed him.

"Happy birthday, Noo!"

"Thank you, Ohmmy."
