A Continuation of 20/11/2021

His grandparents were soulmates.

So when it came to Ohm having a soulmate too, his parents were more than ecstatic about it. The first sign he got was when he was merely 6 years old, and it was the picture of the infamous Disney character, Mickey Mouse.

He was playing in the back garden of his house when he noticed a black ink on his foot and bent down to inspect it. Scratching and wiping on the ink in order to remove it.

"Ohmmy? What are you doing?" His mother asked once she noticed her son had stopped playing and was just crouching on the grass. Ohm lifted his head and looked at her.

"Mommy, there's something on my leg." He shouted with a pout.

"Come here. Let mommy see." And he ran towards her, who was having her evening tea with his grandmother on the lawn.

Ohm lifted his foot and showed her the black ink, his eyes big and curious.

He remembered how his mother had her eyes wide and a soft gasp escaped her lips. "I-It's a soulmate mark." And he remembered his mother having a big smile, and so is her grandmother and when his father and grandfather saw it, they were smiling from ear to ear too.

He didn't quite understand the commotion, all he knows is that the ink is irremovable. And as time goes by, more and more ink appears on his body. Some understandable, some just plain weird in his opinion.

When he was 10, that was when he finally understood the thing that people call 'soulmate'. His grandparents told him everything about how they were soulmates and they also have ink appearing on their skins before they meet each other. And when they finally did meet, every sign on their body was gone and there was only one thing that was left.

The name of their soulmate.

He remembered smiling brightly at the sight of his grandparents' name on each other's skin, it was on the back of their neck. It was beautiful.

And since then, he anticipated the moment the name of his soulmate appeared on his skin.

He had always loved and was fascinated by airplanes, and so it wasn't surprising when he got into aerospace engineering. You would've thought he'd want to be a pilot but he wasn't interested in flying it, he wanted to build one.

So he spent 4 years in America completing his degree before coming back to Thailand.

It has been a week since he returned to Thailand and he had about 3 month before he had to choose whether he'll go back to America where a promising job was offered to him. His parents told him that they'd be happy with whatever decision he'll go with at the end of the day.

He was contemplating it hard because the job offered was just what he wanted but he wanted to work in Thailand and make changes in his country.

With that thought in mind, he roamed around his parent's neighbourhood with no place in mind.

When he arrived at what seemed like a dog park, a newly opened one, he noted, since before he left for his studies it was just trees here. He smiled as he looked at the different breed of dogs running around with their humans. Aside from planes, another thing that never left his affection was his love of puppies.

He'd always wanted to have one to take care of when he was little but because his mother was allergic to dog fur so that wish was kept as a wish to him.

He was once again deep in his thoughts when he felt the burning sensation on his wrist. He hissed and watched as another sign slowly appeared on his skin. Unlike the others that appeared on his skin, this time it wasn't a picture but letters.

"Natouch... Siri—pongthon." He reads as the letters begin forming words. This is it! This is my soulmate's name!

He began frantically turning around, searching for the person with the name engraved on his skin. But it seemed like nobody was fazed by anything so he deduced the person wasn't here. Just then he heard somebody shouting from behind him, he turned and saw a pup running towards where he was and a person running after the said pup.

Squatting, he successfully grabbed a hold of the pup and stood up just in time for the person to arrive, panting.

"Thank you!" The small male said to him as he gasped for air. Ohm couldn't help but to smile.

"You're welcome." He replied, before handing over the pup to the male. He noticed the gasp the other male let out when he looked at his wrist and was surprised when the male lifted his face to look at him as if he's just seen a ghost.

He looks cute, gaping with his eyes wide, but what?

"Is everything okay?" Is there something on my face?

But then the male raised his left wrist and it's as if all air inside of him was sucked out because that's my name!

He looked at the male. "You're Natouch?" It hadn't even been long but he somehow memorized the name of his soulmate by heart, and saying the name was something that he didn't expect to feel familiar with.

And yet it does.

"Th-Thitiwat?" He smiled, loving the way his name came out of Natouch's lips, wanting to hear more of it in the future, and he will.

"You can just call me Ohm." He said, and when Natouch told him his name, he knows, it's the name that he will treasure all his life.
