***PRESENT TIME***
Hitomi and Nako did come back with food for me. And as a hungry duck, I dig in immediately.
"Gosh, unnie. Haven't you eaten yet?" Hitomi reacted.
Well, I'm eating voraciously so yeah, that's her reaction.
"Dwid wou thwink aw wiw whawve twish iwf aw owweady ewt?" I showed her my hand that has a small tube. (Did you think I would have this if I already ate?)
"Just eat unnie. Eunbi unnie will be here after her work." - Hitomi
I smirked when Hitomi said that.
They are really okay now huh.
"Don't give me that kind of smirk, unnie."
"Why?" I asked innocently.
"She just called me because you are here and you have a little argument with her."
I drink the smoothie first before responding.
"I don't think it's an argument. She is just giving me a little scolding but in her scolding, the past is included and you know that I don't want to talk about it again."
I heard Hitomi sighed.
"You should have told me that you like Yuri before. I mig---ouch!" Nako received a hit from Hitomi.
"You are tolerating her!" Hitomi said to Nako.
"I'm not tolerating her. I am just telling---"
"Ey, you two, stop that." I cut them off.
"I think I know why Nako is saying these things." I give Nako a mischievous smile and of course it makes her nervous.
"She just understands me, that's all." I looked back at Hitomi.
"Are you saying that we don't understand you?" Hitomi sounds annoyed.
"No. What I mean is, Nako experiencing unreq----"
Nako immediately put some bread on my mouth. I gave her a death glare and she gave me her widest eyes like she was giving me a warning. Bad for her, Hitomi is a fast learner and she gets it right away. Hitomi's eyes widened when she decoded what I was about to say.
"You are in unrequited love too?" Hitomi asked Nako in disbelief.
"You are believing in this bluffer duck?" Nako asked back to Hitomi in disbelief too.
Go ahead, Nako. Just deny it.
"..."
"You know who I like, Hiichan." Nako said in a serious tone.
Can someone give me some popcorn? Author-nim?

"Who did Nako like?"
Because of my question, Nako looks away.
"Miku." Nako answered after breaking her eye contact with Hitomi.
What a great lie!
"Oh, you mean---"
"Yeah, her best friend."
Why do you sound bitter, Hitomi?
"I'm glad, I never have feelings for my best friend." I murmured.
