Charlie let out cries and whimpers of displeasure or saddens, as the team surrounded the little one. Barely a few months old, the baby wasn't exactly capable of telling people things, or at least things they could understand. They were wondering where Alex Morgan was.

(Y/n) had come into the locker room, hearing the cries of the little one as the others try their methods of trying to calm down the baby. And each of them taking their turns holding mini Morgan.

(Y/n) was about to ask what was going on before Kelly, passed off the baby to her and they all were assigning certain teammates to look in certain places for the mother.

(Y/n) had memories rushed back to her of her taking care of her younger siblings. The little Morgan was maybe a pound or two heavier but (Y/n) had grown up since then so it like the baby weighed nothing.

Her heart was beating fast but it seamed to slow as the baby started to cry less and less. Eventually just staring at (Y/n) in curiosity.

(Y/n) had whipped away the small tear marks, she must have missed her mommy. (Y/n) noticed the girls weren't as loud as well because Ashlyn had taken the responsibility of organizing the "search parties".

(Y/n) softly kissed the little girl's head, as she continued to look at her. (Y/n) watched the baby as she reached out her hands and started playing with the little bit of hair she could reach on (Y/n)'s head.

And then she suddenly found her ears very interesting. Now luckily she didn't have piercings so she didn't have to worry about Charlie yanking anything out.

She had a soft grip on her ears as her face was dangerously close to (Y/n)'s but she didn't really care as she heard someone almost shout, "Guys, look!"

And looked up and to see a very shocked group of women. Now (Y/n) wasn't exactly known to have a soft side.

So when they saw the infant absolutely transfixed on (Y/n) with a small smile on the woman's normally stoic face, it was surprising to say the least.

(Y/n) not knowing what was going on asked, "What?"

Kelly spoke first, "Charlie, who everyone's been trying to calm down, just falls silent... the moment she sees you?"

Kelly took a pause, "are you sure, you and Alex aren't related?"

Everyone chuckles, and the little Morgan started to mess with (Y/n)'s other facial features once she found them more interesting than the last one she was messing with.

Of course the team found this adorable, some even started recording as proof, for later. Therefore they didn't notice the door open or close. Alex coming in looking stressed.

She scanned the room until her eyes landed on the site of her baby in (Y/n)'s arms, unharmed. She smiled and watched the scene unfold until she let it sink in who was holding her child.

She was just as shocked as the team, and as she was processing this, her baby started making unhappy noises, again.

"Did anyone give Charlie her bottle, yet?"

The team mentally facepalmed themselves, some of them actually doing it, as Ash went to go get the baby bag. Alex stayed back, wondering how long it would take for them to notice she had arrived, still in awe of (Y/n).

(Y/n) thanked Ashlyn as she got all the things out in order to feed the mini Morgan. Most teammates went back to getting ready to leave after the game but all of them kept glancing at the pair.

Looking up as Charlie was almost done with her bottle, (Y/n) saw the new mother gathering her things getting ready to leave. (Y/n) saw Charlie was done and got a few burps out of her before handing the little one back.

"Looks like Charlie has someone wrapped around her finger." Sonnett snickered, receiving a slap on the side of the head from (Y/n).

"Babies need someone to be taken care of them, and not someone who acts like a toddler, Em. And Morgan, if you ever want someone to look after Charlie and trust the person doing it, you know how to reach me."

"I'll keep that in mind, (L/n)."

And with that the two left, all eyes falling on (Y/n). She didn't have to turn around to know it either.

"I'm starting to think Charlie isn't the only one that has you wrapped around her finger, (Y/n)." Press ventured boldly.

"Maybe in a few years you'll understand," (Y/n) walked to the exit turning back for a moment "once a mother, always a mother."

All the remaining teammates took a moment to process that Emily being the first to voice her shock, "WAIT WHAT?!"

(Y/n) had already left, leaving them in complete shock.
