Chapter 111 - Lin Anxin probably had to face the consequences of her action after her return. (2)

"Now cut over to the surveillance video," said Gu Shao to the technicians in the office suddenly.

"Okay." With Gu Shao's order, the two technicians switched the surveillance feed over to the wait and rest areas with alacrity.

Within the wait area, the audiences noticed that the live progresses of the schools that they had been watching had been compressed and fit into one screen and, the screen on the right was now displaying the surveillance video.

"This is the live surveillance video view!" Someone shouted out.

A grid of 30 pictures appeared on the large screen. They were the cameras from all four corners overlooking the entire venue and 26 individual ones panned onto each of the 26 students above their seat.

The pictures from the surveillance cameras were very clearly. The cameras were located behind the seat and the audiences were not able to see the face of the competitors but they could clearly see what they were doing.

"Look! The third row, second one from the left. That's the one from HSAU!" Many looked over.

"Oh my gosh! They really are very fast!"

On the display, Gu Xi and Sheng Xiuyan sat next to each other without disturbing one another and the speed of them tackling the problems was fast, visibly so!

"Here I thought it was some sort of bug with the system or that they had some sort of a plug-in......" Someone else mumbled.

Lo and behold, they really were just fast.

In the display, Gu Xi and Sheng Xiuyan's progress was "smoother" than the commercial of a certain chocolate brand. The two barely stopped at all. For many of the questions, the two merely scribbled down 2 to 3 formulas on the scratch paper or a calculation that they didn't get to the very end before they answer the question.

What was even crazier was that: One some questions, they didn't even bother doing the calculations. It looked like they picked the answer after just glancing at the questions.

As they chose the answers, a green dot would appear on the screen on the left side in the wait area simultaneously.

As opposed to Gu Xi and Sheng Xiuyan's smoothness, Liming, next to them, wasn't doing so well.

In the video, Gao Zifan was struggling over a problem.

At this time, he already had a bunch of scribbles on the scratch paper in front of him but Gao Zifan had yet been able to figure out the answer.

Perhaps because of his nervousness, Gao Zifan's hand that was holding onto the pen was shaking.

He filled another piece of scratch paper and still wasn't able to figure the problem out. Gao Zifan, irritatingly, crossed out everything on the page, flipped it over to the other side and carried on. What he was scribbling down became messier and messier.

Those from Liming looked worried seeing the state that Gao Zifan was in.

"What the heck is Gao Zifan doing? If he can't figure it out, just guess an answer or skip to the next one! How much time is he going to spend on that one?"

"Exactly. He is wasting so much time on it and there's no guarantee that his answer would be correct!"

"I felt that he is even negatively affecting Yu Fangfang."

"This is not working out. Go to the next one already!"

Said the Liming students nervously.

Nobody could say for certain that they would be looking at things so clearly had they been the ones who were working on the problems right now and wouldn't be stumped on one question.

It was always easier to see things clearly when one was a bystander.

Lin Anxin, sitting with her fellow Liming schoolmates, also had a long face and a look of disbelief.

– How was that possible? How was it possible that Gu Xi could go so fast! Even if Gu Xi had decent grades, it was impossible that she was better than Gao Zifan!

Nevertheless, Gu Xi and Gao Zifan's performances were the exact opposite on the screen right now.

When they were only answering the questions, Lin Anxin could still insist that Gu Xi had somehow manipulated the result. But now, with everything clearly seen from the security footage, what more could she say?
