Gu Xi felt that his question was somewhat odd. While feeling baffled, something else occurred to her and she asked: [You know me?]
On the other side, [AAA]'s hand shuddered after receiving Gu Xi's message. He replied almost instinctively: [No, I don't.]
His reply was concise and resolute.
Gu Xi raised her brows at the three words that came back almost instantly and felt odd.
She waited for a little while longer and, surprisingly, did not receive any other messages from [AAA].
– Was that it? There was nothing else after asking whether her name was Gu Xi?
Was that all? He wasn't going to say something else?
Gu Xi felt that this was very out of character for [AAA].
Regardless, Gu Xi did put too much thought into it.
She would never have guessed that the chatty boy who was talking to her on his phone was none other than Sheng Xiuyan.

When Gu Xi went to bed nonchalantly, Sheng Xiuyan, on his end, still had a shocked look on him with his phone in his hand.
He would admit that he had been a bit unrestrained behind his alias but that was also partly because he had been treating [X] as a buddy who shared the same interest.
Who would have thought "he" was a girl, and a girl that he knew at that?
Sheng Xiuyan fipped to their previous conversaions and felt even worse all of a sudden.
What the heck had he been sending?!
He couldn't even bear looking at them. Could he withdraw them? No, have them destroyed.
Oh, his reputation...... this was just too embarrassing.
After feeling very disturbed, Sheng Xiuyan couldn't help but messaged [Lin].
[AAA]: Did you do that on purpose?!
If [X] was Gu Xi, did that mean Gu Yanlin knew about it all along?
Sheng Xiuyan had overlooked something right now – everybody were hidden behind their aliases; there was a good chance that Gu Yanlin really had no idea.

Gu Xi went to school just like usual the next day.
As Gu Shao was dropping her off today, the chauffeur drove the car straight to the front of the school.
Gu Xi was just about to get out of the car when she saw Sheng Xiuyan not too far away.
"Here's fine." Gu Xi planned to go and say hi.
"What's the matter?" asked Gu Shao.
"I saw someone in my class. The one who was on my team in the Joint Science Competition last time." Gu Xi explained to Gu Shao with a smile as she pointed in the direction of Sheng Xiuyan.
Lo and behold, when Gu Xi looked over again, Sheng Xiuyan was already gone.
Gu Shao looked for a few seconds in the direction where the boy had turned and run off before he looked away. He then said to Gu Xi, "If anything happens at school or something happens between you and your schoolmates that you can't handle, give me a call."
Gu Shao was still worried that Gu Xi might be bullied at school.
Gu Xi treated Gu Shao's words as what every parent would tell their children. Smiling at Gu Shao and nodding docilely, she said, "Okay."
"Go to class now."
"Okay." Gu Xi got out of the car, waved at Gu Shao who was still sitting in the car and said, "Bye, Dad," before she turned and ran in the direction of the school.
Gu Shao had the chauffeur started the car but they didn't go very far; they stopped somewhere nearby. Gu Shao only told the chauffeur to drive away after seeing that Gu Xi had walked inside the of the school safely. "Okay. Let's head to the office now."

On the other side, Gu Xi had arrived at the classroom and noticed that the classroom that was usually quietly preparing for the class to begin was very lively today. She looked surprised and asked Dong Mingming, next to her, curiously, "What's going on?"
"Oh, nothing. Everyone was surprised that Sheng Xiuyan came to class so early today." One must know that Sheng Xiuyan was one who barely ever even make it to the first class on time.
Dong Mingming even pointed in Sheng Xiuyan's direction when she responded to Gu Xi.
Gu Xi looked in the direction that Dong Mingming was pointing and, sure enough, saw Sheng Xiuyan.
So she wasn't wrong when she thought she had saw him earlier.
