"I wasn't lying......" Gu Xi turned back around with a guilty conscience and smiled at Gu Shao.
Luckily, Gu Shao wasn't going to lecture her in front of her other schoolmates.
Gu Xi said goodbye to her other schoolmates before she left with Gu Shao.
Gu Shao finally looked down at the milk tea that Gu Xi was holding that was already half gone.
"Too much junk food will affect your body's development and stunt your growth," said Gu Xi, his tone solemn as usual.
Gu Xi nodded docilely when she heard that. She grumbled to herself, however, She isn't that short either.
When Gu Shao wasn't paying attention, Gu Xi placed her hand above her own head and saw that she only reached the height of Gu Shao's arm.

"How come you are here, Dad?" Gu Xi asked Gu Shao curiously as the two walked with each other.
"I have some work to take care of," said Gu Shao.

"Oh right, we scored the highest in this competition." Gu Xi bragged to Gu Shao. She paused, then said, "And, in the last round, I got all of my questions right and got the highest score among everyone."
Looking for how eagerly Gu Xi was fishing for praises, Gu Shao found that somewhat comical.
Watching the entire competition from the backroom, not only did Gu Shao knew that she scored the highest, he even calculated her total score.
Where Gu Xi couldn't see, Gu Shao's lips curved upward.
"Not bad," said Gu Shao.
Gu Xi, "......" He is praises her, right? She could count that as a praise, right?
"There will be an award ceremony in a little while," said Gu Xi.
Gu Shao, "I'll be there."
A smile appeared on Gu Xi.

The award ceremony was scheduled at 3 in the afternoon.
The organizer had wanted to ask Gu Shao to be the guest who gave out the award.
If Gu Shao could be the one who gave out the award to the winning team, that would most definitely be an honor for the organizer.
Gu Shao, however, turned them down and gave them his reason: He was only there as a parent.
Even so, the organizer still arranged for a VIP spot at the very front for Gu Shao.

Liming High School's performance in their final game was such a mess that they were not one of the top three. Nevertheless, as they had done well in some of the other rounds, they still got an award for one of the other sections.

Many parents came for the award ceremony, however.
The parents at the venue chatted from time to time.
And what they talked about the most was Gu Xi and Sheng Xiuyan's score in the last round.
"HSAU did so well this time."

He should still be in Country D right now.
"What? I can't take a vacation?" said Gu Xuan.
Gu Shao, "Then you should head back home first."
Gu Xuan, "......"
