Chapter 168 - "I like this head gear. Where can I find one?" (2)

Over on this end, seeing that there was no new message from the group chat, Gu Xi was about to turn her phone off and go to bed.

Suddenly, her phone chimed. [AAA] sent her a new message: I suggest for you to delete that message on your page.

[X]: What's wrong with it?

Gu Xi was baffled.

[AAA]: Your page is not like your friend's circle. Anyone will be able to view it and you will not be as selective when you are adding people. Having your real information on there is not safe.

[X]: It's just a name.

[AAA]: Even just a name is not safe.

Looking at the message from Brother [3A], Gu Xi really wanted to tell him that ever since she had created the account, she had only joined one group and added only him. It was really quite safe.

But then she thought that he only said it because he cared about her and that what he said made sense so she agreed and set the update to only viewable to herself.

After she was done, she responded back to him with a: [Thanks for the heads up] along with a smiley face.

Gu Xi had no idea that it was not her safety that Sheng Xiuyan was concerned about. He only felt that he did not want to be the only one who had made a fool out of himself. Every victim counts.

He didn't want Gu Yanlin to learn that [X] was Gu Xi, which was why he had Gu Xi remove it before Gu Yanlin saw it.

[AAA]: You are welcome.

Sheng Xiuyan felt a bit of a guilty conscience when he said that.

Recalling that [AAA] wasn't part of the earlier conversation, Gu Xi repeated it again in their private chat.

[X]: I've added some extra functionalities to the design and posted the content to our group chat.

[AAA]: Mmm. I saw them.

[X]: I drew a rough diagram depicting my thoughts. Take a look and see if you can find any conflicts.

[AAA]: Good.

[AAA]: I mean. I've looked and they look good.

He wasn't just saying it. He had just taken a close look at Gu Xi's diagram just a little while ago and was genuinely surprised by it: If his memory serves him right, Gu Xi didn't know much in this area just a few days ago. It had only been a few days and she was able to draw a basic technical diagram that was almost error free.

Gu Xi, on her end, stared at her phone for a little while. She was surprised when she didn't see any new messages coming from him.

Was that it? Nothing else?

Normally speaking, [AAA] would have a string of rainbow fart following that.

But [AAA] said nothing else today.

Whatever happened to this very chatty person?

Gu Xi was almost not used to his concise way.

"Has he really been that busy?" Gu Xi grumbled.

After a long while, [AAA] sent over another message. It only said [Goodnight.]

After that one word, Sheng Xiuyan tossed his phone away as though it was burning his hand.

Must as Gu Xi had expected, before class had even started the next day, tides had turned on the topics with regards to the "exceptionally ugly" head gear in the forum.

First, someone noticed that Gu Xi had switched to a new profile photo and started talking about it in the forum.

[Come look, quickly! I know someone in Class #7 and she saw that Gu Xi had switched to a new profile photo.]

[Old Mr. Gu. You are right.]

[So Gu Xi saw the post in the forum?]

[Are you for real? It's been pushed to the top with all the responses. How could she not see it as the person in question?]

[But Gu Xi straight up changed her profile picture. What's up with that?]

[Why, I don't know but I want to say what an awesome move on her part. Hahaha.]

['So you guys call it ugly? I'll make it my profile photo.' That's a respectable move.]

[Perhaps she thinks that 'It's not ugly as long as I don't think it's ugly'?]

......

Later on, someone also noticed that Gu Xi wasn't the only one who had updated her profile photo. Gu Chenyi, too, had switched out his and he had further posted an animated gift of the four of them together.

All of a sudden, the chat forum exploded with messages.
