Over the course of the next few days, Gu Xi entered into frantic practice mode.
Gu Xi's attitude toward piano practice was every bit as focused as she was with her schoolwork.
And Gu Xi's improvement too, impressed all of the others.
"Gu Xi, look at you. I am not even exaggerating when I say that you can attend professional examinations if you spend two years on practicing," exclaimed the Art Committee member with a surprised look.
Even though Gu Xi had started at a low level and had a lot of room for improvement, but the rate that she was improving was still very impressive.
Dong Mingming, too, nodded in agreement. Looking over at Gu Xi, she suddenly asked solemnly, "Gu Xi, out with it. Are you some boss who had transmigrated over after a failed transformation?"
Gu Xi wasn't sure what to make of Dong Mingming's words. She gave her a look and asked, "What have you been reading lately?"
"Nothing special, just The Tool Demon Queen Selling Drugs in the Universe and I Got into Qinghua with My Ability, etc. ......" Having said that, Dong Mingming held onto Gu Xi excitedly and asked, "Are you interested? I can share with you. They are amazing reads."
Gu Xi, "I think I will stick with my mathematics solutions."
Dong Mingming's words, however, reminded Gu Xi of the novel in her dream. The novel had been hanging over Gu Xi's head like a nightmare.
Ever since she had been with Gu Shao, though, Gu Xi noticed that the effects that that the novel had on her had been shrinking.
She had not had that nightmare repeatedly for a while now.
Regardless, the thought of the Gu family's ending in the novel was still bothersome.
Dong Mingming had no idea what Gu Xi was thinking about. She assumed that Gu Xi was nervous judging from her solemn look.
Dong Mingming held onto Gu Xi's hand, shook it from side to side, and said caringly, "Gu Xi, are you nervous because we will be rehearsing tomorrow?"
"A little," replied Gu Xi honestly.
This was the first time that Gu Xi would be performing some sort of an art show. She had never been this nervous at an examination.
"Don't worry. It will be fine. Just do what you normally do," said Dong Mingming as she patted Gu Xi. She then paused and added deliberately, "If all else fails, we still have Gu Chenyi."
Dong Mingming's "reminder" successfully cheered Gu Xi up and made her less nervous.

The next day, Gu Xi's rehearsal was set to take place after the second class in the afternoon, before the class rehearsal.
There weren't a lot of people in the auditorium at the time.
Gu Xi let out a sigh of relief and sat down in front of the piano.
Gu Xi nodded when she heard the rehearsal teacher said for her to begin and started her performance.
She completed her piece smoothly.
She made no mistake and was somewhat skillful.
Gu Xi let out a sigh of relief secretly, having no idea that the Art Committee girl and Gu Yanxiao and the others all looked pleasantly surprised.
Gu Xi had improved so much. Her piece wasn't exactly mind-blowing but there was no problem with it either. And she was doing much better than when she first started practicing.

After the "Student Representative" voting, Gu Xi was no longer just the valedictorian in others' eyes; she had also become the beauty queen of sort.

Seeing Gu Xi's rehearsal pictures, many started blowing rainbow fart under it.

Per Gu Chenyi, Gu Yanlin had asked a student junior to him for an account.
