"Alright, alright." Old Mr. Gu waved his hand and said, "She's already asleep, why do you still want to take her home with you? Why don't you both stay here tonight?"

Gu Chenyi, too, nodded next to him: They would never admit that they had already been waiting there eagerly for 10 minutes.

"Where's Dad?" asked Gu Xi.

She was waiting for Gu Xi last night to warn him to be careful of Gu Yaobai. But, somehow, she fell asleep while waiting.

If she had stayed over at the Gu family's main residence, then what about Gu Shao?

"Second Uncle said he has a meeting this morning and had left for his office. He said for you to come to school with us," said Gu Chenyi. He was even a little excited at the thought of going to school with Gu Xi.

"Aunty Mei said you like buns so Grandpa had the kitchen prepared them. Xixi likes pumpkin flavored ones, right? Here, try one," said Old Mr. Gu.

"And try the other ones as well."

"Okay......" Gu Xi nodded.

There was a pile of breakfast inside in her in the blink of an eye.

After breakfast, Old Mr. Gu walked his three grandchildren to the door in person and only let them go after he rambled on a little bit about what to watch out for.
