We Aren't Friends (well sort of)

Mingi, Yunho, Jongho, Seonghwa and San were all sitting next to each other staring out at the view they had from their park bench as they had ice cream, watching the sun hang low in the sky.

Hongjoong was called into an important meeting asking Yeosang if they could join him, Wooyoung still being with the old man, Seonghwa wanting to stay with San.

The three of them might have ditched work, but when you work ahead, you could afford to ditch a day. Especially if it was something as important as this.

"So Wooyoung told you he likes you." Mingi said, reviewing the information not seeing where the issue was.

"Twice." Jongho said, petting Snowball who was sleeping on Seonghwa's lap.

"And you went on a date." Yunho said, looking at the city that was laid out before them.

"Everything seems fine to me." Mingi, Jongho, and Yunho said at the same time impressing Seonghwa and supporting his Bluetooth theory.

"Yeah only San thinks they're just friends." Seonghwa said, looking at San who was blushing a little.

"Why would you think you're just friends?" Yunho asked, leaning in to whisper something in San's ear.

"You don't go around kissing your friends in a dressing room." Yunho said, making San look up at him.

"Is it because he's never said anything directly?" Mingi asked, looking at San. "He hasn't asked you to be his boyfriend yet?"

"No, but he hasn't asked me yet." San said, being honest since he felt right at home with the four of them.

"Why would he?" San said, not knowing what was so special about him that could have made Wooyoung like him like that. " I don't think he'll ever see me as more than a friend."

"Hyyyuung." Jongho said, reaching out to pat San's shoulder.

"Shut up! Don't tell me you haven't seen the way he looks at you." Yunho said, catching Wooyoung staring at San plenty of times, not being able to forget the adoring way that Wooyoung looked at San every second of every day.

"I think you jumbled up some words there, hyung." Jongho said, correcting San. "You meant that Wooyoung would never see you as just a friend."

"That sounds more right." Mingi said, San looking at all of them still not believing it.

Wooyoung didn't like him the way he liked him.

"You're worthless and a waste of space." San reminded himself, his Uncle's words echoing in his head. What would Wooyoung want to do with a demon that was worthless and a waste of space?

Wooyoung was just being nice to him and he liked him as a friend. But Yunho was right, you don't look at friends like that and you don't kiss your friends in the dressing room.

"The only demon here who is worthless and a waste of space is your uncle and I'd be happy to tell him." San smiled remembering what Hongjoong had told him that made him feel a little better.

"That may cause some confusion for now but that doesn't mean he won't ask you in the future." Jongho said, with a small smile.

"If Wooyoung saw you as a friend, he'd probably say he'd love you, like we do sometimes." Mingi said, hugging San who was sitting in the middle of him and Yunho.

"Yeah since liking isn't a strong enough word to describe how we feel about each other." Jongho said. "Speaking of, I love you hyungs."

"We love you too." Everyone said at the same time leaning over to hug Jongho who was sitting at the way end, watching him smile.
