Wooyoung and San were sitting down by the ocean waves, Wooyoung lying down on the sand as he stared up at the sky. He was wearing Yeosang's sunglasses to hide his teary eyes as he took in a deep breath of the salty sea air. It made him feel calm but if San wasn't sitting next to him it wouldn't have any meaning to it.

Wooyoung wiped a tear away before it could fall, resting his arm on his chest again. He couldn't have been there when San was going through all that pain but he could prevent it from happening again.

Only if San agreed to stay with him.

Wooyoung looked at San who was drawing in the sand with a stick watching the waves wash it away before he started drawing again. Wooyoung couldn't help but smile a little.

He didn't want San to leave. There was no way he wouldn't do anything to convince San to stay.

He didn't know what was going on in hell, heck he didn't even know what San did in hell as king but he could care less. San wasn't going to go back if it meant he had to go through that again.

But if he couldn't convince him to stay-

Wooyoung felt a little guilty, another tear sliding down his cheek but this time San caught it before it could fall, gently rubbing his cheek before he pulled away and looked at the ocean again.

He would do it, he could do it, and he might do it.

He'd force San to stay.

And he would do it no matter what.

He meant every single word he told Yeosang that he wanted San all to himself. He wanted to spend a long long long time with him. He was never going to ask for forever. Forever is disguised as an eternity but in reality it's just a split second.

A split second that he would rather spend with San.

Wooyoung smiled again, thinking about the first time he made San tell him that he liked him by accident. Then his smile dropped remembering how he had to reject him.

San was so understanding even though it must have hurt more than anything imaginable for him to wait for him. He waited for him when he was getting over Changbin, he waited for him when he went on that blind date, he waited for him when was stupid enough to keep dismissing his own feelings. He waited for him when all those thoughts and little whispers were probably keeping him up at night.

San waited for him despite most likely feeling terrible af. Not to mention how San was fed the idea that no one could love him for years so his own behavior basically supported that idea, but he still waited.

So why couldn't he do that?

Wait for San to come back to him when he leaves?

Wooyoung let out a small sigh, knowing that waiting was not an easy thing for him to do. The missing, the longing, the tears, the pain and everything that came with waiting- he couldn't do that. He was greedy, selfish, impatient, and stubborn. He knew all his bad qualities and he was willing to admit it and when it came to San he wasn't going to be any different.

Wooyoung reached out and took San's hand, intertwining their fingers as he cried on the inside. He made sure San wouldn't see his tears though looking up at his blue eyes. San cared about him to the point of being hurt when he got hurt and he felt like he didn't deserve it.

"I'm just in my feels." Wooyoung explained, giving San a small smile, "I'll be better soon."

"I promised I won't leave." San said quietly, thinking about the conversation he overheard earlier. Wooyoung looked up at him with a small frown, not saying anything as he looked away from him.
