ESTE KISSED HIM SLOWLY, pushing his hair away from his face slightly as she moved closer towards him. Carlisle moved his hands up her back, under her shirt. The sound of the empty house around them brought comfort to Este's mind.

Este moved her hands towards the buttons of his shirt, moving one at a time past the small rounds of plastic. She laced her touch over his skin with every button she undid. Running her fingers down his chest as she deepened the kiss. Carlisle moved forwards carefully as she pushed the shirt away from his shoulders.

He held to her thighs as she positioned herself on top of his lap. She moved gently against him, tilting her head to kiss the side of his neck. Her lips were soft, the placement purposeful. She could practically feel Carlisle smiling as she held her hand over where his heart should beat. His chest rose and fell with every breath that he took. Este trailed her kiss up over his jawline, finishing at his lips again.

Carlisle pulled her shirt over her head, the material merging with the whiteness of the sheets around them. She pressed her skin against his, ran her hands over his shoulders before leaving her hands gripped over his biceps. Carlisle's hair was as soft as silk, perfectly golden even without the lighting of sun. Este felt incomparable in some moments, he always convinced her otherwise.

She lost track of the world around them. It was similar to their dancing. After all, the world didn't matter when they were lost with each other. They fell into each others hearts as the shadows turned to light and the brightness softened to spotlights. Este had her eyes closed as they kissed, open as he hovered gently in front of her.

They moved very elegantly which wasn't surprising considering their kind. Everything either of them did was elegant. Every touch, every kiss. Perfectly practiced over their years of love. This didn't make it any less special. All their time was appreciated whether it was limited or not.

Este felt the sheets around them. She could feel the fabric against her skin. It was soft, the scent a fresh cotton. She had a part of the sheet held tight in her hand as her thumb rolled back and forth over the feeling of it all. Carlisle moved slowly, carefully, perfectly. Este felt her breathing, heavy in the air. She could control it now better than ever. Her mind didn't spin. She wasn't lost. In this moment she'd find herself grounded for a while.

Yet it didn't feel that way. Este felt as though she was rising from the ground. She tangled her hands in Carlisle's hair as he kissed her neck. He was less calm than she had been. Ironic considering Carlisle was known for his rationality. His content emotions. Este of course knew different but then again she knew him better than everyone else did.

He held tight to her waist. She felt as though his fingertips could create grooves in her skin yet it didn't hurt. Este could feel no pain in his presence regardless of what was happening to her. But now she felt better than she had done in a long time. She tried to concentrate on how Carlisle felt. How he seemed to touch every part of her at the same time even if this was impossible.
