chapter 23

- a couple of years later

"Appa! Dad! I'm home" Ji-yoon yelled as he returned home from school. He hung his school jacket over the couch and kicked out his sneakers, looking at the watch around his wrist

weird, were they down at the beach or something?

Ji-yoon strutted down the hallway, the now 16 year old boy looking for his parents. He sighed once he saw the backdoor open and knew exactly what was going on.

As long as he could remember the back door standing open meant that all his hyungs were coming over for a family dinner and there was no way he could escape it

He had always loved it here in Japen, since he didn't have any actually memories of Korea but he sometimes wished that he grew up over there instead of here

but Hey! Japan had lost and lost of things for him to do

" Yoonie!" Jimin exclaimed as he looked back at the patio. He was laying on one of those long Beach chairs that was actually made for tanning or whatever.

" Dad" Ji-yoon rolled his eyes as he crouched down to give his father a kiss on the cheek like he did everyday once he got home.

" where's Appa?" Ji-yoon questioned, joining Jimin on the chair. Jimin scooted his legs to make some way for his son and pulled down his sunglasses to see him better

" he went to go get Jin and Namjoon hyung from the airport" Jimin smiled as he looked up at the sky. It was clear and sunny and that's just how he liked it.

" is Tae and Kook coming too?" Ji-yoon asked as he looked over at the view of the ocean. He had so many found memories here, it's where he grew up.

Thinking back his parents never tried to hide the fact that they were from Korea. They were always telling him stories from what happened and giving him old photo books to look at

He didn't really miss Korea all that much, he loved Japan. His family was here and that was all that mattered to him most.

" yeah, Tae was really excited" Jimin chuckled and just as those words left his mouth the door bell rang.

"go get it" Jimin shooed his son away and put his sunglasses back on, enjoying the last rays of the sun before he needed to go inside and get the patio ready for them to have dinner at.

Everybody was flying in for today as it was Jimin's and Yoongi's wedding anniversary,  a day the boys never missed to celebrate no matter quite where in the world they were.

It was quite funny when Hobi had to fly out of America to Japan just because of this, but atleast he and his boyfriend - now finance - could  spend two days on vacation.

Jimin sighed as he heard the faint voices of Hobi and his fiance, Aek, filling in the main house. Aek was Thai and had met Hobi when he was doing some business back in Thailand

Jimin rose from his seat, and was immediately tackled in a hug by Hobi.

" calm down i saw you like 4 weeks ago" Jimin laughed and pushed the male off him, rolling down his shorts and greeting Aek who just nodded, rolling their luggage into the guest room.

" where's Yoongs?"

" went to go get Jin and Namjoon hyung from the airport"

Hobi nodded as he got ahold of the champagne and poured himself a glass. he offered Ji-yoon some but the younger declined, only really because Jimin was starting daggers at him.

Around 7 the patio table was filled with laughter and stories going around about what everybody was doing with their lives.

Yoongi couldn't help but smile at Jimin who was sipping on his champagne in silence, watching everybody at the table.

Yoongi was thankful for everybody at this table. He was thankful for Ji-yoon who had grown up into a fine young gentleman, always respectful and kind, just like his Dad had learnt him to

He was thankful for Taehyung and Jungkook who was madly inlove now more than ever. They had finally adopted a little girl by the name Haneul 4 years back, and they are amazing parents - just like everybody knew they would be

He was thankful for Namjoon and Jin, a pair he would always look up to no matter what. He was so thankful that Namjoon had cared enough back in the days to offer him a job that eventually ended him his husband.

He was thankful for Hobi and even Aek, who he had only know for a spam of three years but that didn't make the man any less family. Aek made Hobi extremely happy and that was all Yoongi ever wanted - for Hobi to find love like he did

but most importantly, he was so thankful for the man beside him. The love he swore to protect to the day he died, to take care of and love for as long as he breathed. The man who stole the air out of his lungs but supplied it back everytime.

He loved Jimin, there was nothing else to it. He simply loved him so much and he expressed it everyday. He was thankful for Jimin and he knew it.

" toast toast toast" Taekook started cheering as everybody looked at Yoongi. He groaned, getting ahold of his champagne glass.

" thank you all for coming today, yes even you Taehyung" Yoongi rolled his eyes since he last had to put Taehyung in the hallway

the table erupted into a fit of laughter.

" all i can say is the time i spent married to this angel has been the best few years of my life. He makes me a better person, the man i am today."

" you're a grandpa" Ji-yoon interrupted his Appa like the little brat he is and Jimin couldn't help but laugh.

" happy anniversary Jimin"

Jimin smiled, leaning over to table to kiss Yoongi. Ji-yoon made a gag sound followed by a eww and slap to the head from his Appa.

" i love you" Jimin whispered as he watched Jin slowly rise from his seat, collecting the empty plates as soft music was turned on, the couple going to dance on the empty space on the Patio.

" i love you too" Yoongi smiled, tucking a gray hair behind Jimin's ear.

I'm getting a little emotional. I finally finished this book and I'm so glad that i did. The bodyguard has been one of the best things that happend to me. It was long and shitty and had crappy smut but i wouldn't have had it any other way
