So I've always been a Niji fan. When I was writing a one piece fic with an oc, Niji and my oc were best friends. It turned out that Niji actually didn't have any genetic modification and he had simply kept it secret from his family for years, so a friendship formed between YN and Niji. This is my masterpiece, people, I sincerely hope you enjoy it.

On the surface, it was a wholesome, sweet town. It was extremely advanced technologically, and the people were always sweet and kind, excluding excluding royal family.

The people in charge of Germa, the Vinsmoke family, were cruel and horrid leaders. The lives lost due to them were many, so many people were simply even scared to be around them.

It wasn't the sons' faults, though.

At a young age, they had their emotions completely stripped from their bodies. They were like shells, per se. They did what their father asked at all times. They had a messed up sense of justice and what was correct and what was not.

They were a terrifying force that just happened to have extreme political power.

But there were secrets hidden in this family, like you'd expect. The third son had supposedly died, but showed up later on the seas as a pirate. This isn't about him, though, this is about the unsuspecting second son, Vinsmoke Niji.

And the heart this boy had.

I walked through the main city area of Germa, the buildings surrounding me. The sun was high in the sky, and the air was sweet around me. I smiled as I looked around the cute little part of town that didn't have any view of the castle.

I went over to the local bakery where I was close friends with the old woman who ran it. "Morning Mrs. Baker." I said as I opened the door. "Good morning, YN. The usual today?" She asked, peeking out of the kitchen. "Yup. I also brought some soda from another island, if you'd like to try it." I said, holding out the bottle. "No thanks, dearie. I can't have too much sugar." She said, holding out the freshly baked bread. I took the bread and gave her the money. "Thanks Mrs. Baker. Have a great day." I said, leaving the store. "You too, dearie!" She said, waving me goodbye.

Outside, a crowd had gathered. I shoved my way to the front of the crowd where I saw two of the Vinsmoke brothers, Ichiji and Yonji. They stood there, smug looks on both of their nasty faces. "So, we have to take some new people to come work for us. You have no choice in the matter, if you resist, we'll have to kill you." Ichiji said, looking around the crowd. I let out a deep sigh, but doing that drew Yonji's attention to me. "Hey, you. You're pretty. You need to work as a maid for us." He said, tightly holding onto my arm. "Hell no, I'm not going with you. Never, never, never." I said, staring directly at him. Yonji grabbed my arm. "You're coming with us if you like it or not." He said. I tried to pull away, but the green-haired man's grip on my arm was tighter than I'd imagined.

Just then, a taller figure broke through the crowd. "The hell're you doing, Yonji?" He asked, standing right behind him. "I'm taking this pretty lady with us, she'll make a great maid." He said, tightening his grip on my arm even more. I yelped in pain. I made eye contact with the boy behind me. Turns out, it was Vinsmoke Niji. "Damnit, guess I'm screwed." I said, tears in my eyes.

"Oi, dumbass, let go of her." Niji said, his teeth clenched. "What was that?" The green-haired man asked. "Let go of that damn woman!" He yelled, slapping his brother. He let go of my arm. "Who said you can talk to me like that?!" He yelled. "You've been a terrible person to the people around us." He said, his fists balled. "Since when did you care?" Yonji asked, angry. "Tch, I'm taking this damn lady, you buzz off." Niji said, grabbing my arm, gently this time, and pulling me away.

Niji ran towards the shoreline, still tugging me behind him. "What the heck is your problem?! Where are you taking me?!" I yelled, trying to pull my arm away from him. "Sorry." He said, stopping. "W-What? You just... apologized." I said, surprised. "Yeah... actually. Now that you know you need to leave the island." He said, a little embarrassed. "Know what?! What am I missing?!" I yelled, locking eye contact with the blue-haired boy behind his goggles. "I... it's nothing. I'm sorry my brothers bothered you. Please forgive us." He said, a little nervous. "Wait... I thought you and you and your brothers couldn't express apologies. I thought you guys didn't have emotions." I said, glaring at him. "I... no of course I don't have emotions!" He said, a messy smile on his face. "What is your issue?" I asked him, poking his chest. He let out a small chuckle. "No no, there's nothing wrong!" He said, still a little nervous. "What kind of crap is that. You do have emotions, don't you." I said, looking at the prince. "Y-Yeah, actually." He said, smiling a little. "And why would you tell some random townsfolk that?" I asked, glaring at him. "Uhm, I really don't know." He said, flustered. "I'll... keep this a secret, since you decided to save me." I said, smirking. "Don't worry about it, and I hope I see you again." The nervous blue boy said, waving to me as I walked away.
