I don't actually spend a lot of time on this website, and yet I find that I find little ideas to incorporate into these One-Shots all the time. I was reading Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle" and there was a sentence in it that gave me the idea for this, so enjoy it, people.

Everyone had decided to gather together for the weekly meeting or whatever you call it when you're basically an organized crime organization. We were all gathered together in the big room where Croc kept the sea-prisim cage. I, his lover, stood right next to him as he called everyone in.

Miss All Sunday was standing right next to me and she scooted slightly closer to me. "Miss YN... Don't you think that Sir Crocodile is threatening?" She asked, her face maintaining the same blank expression. "Wha- No! Why would I think that he's my-" I said as she cut me off again. "Don't you think in the least he's intimidating?" She asked, her gaze actually meeting mine this time. "No... I- Maybe a little, but it's never directed towards me." I said, rubbing the back of my neck.

She stood next to me, the expression on her face and her posture showed me she was thinking hard. "YN, I guarantee he won't have anything to do with you once he starts this meeting." She said, pointing at me this time. "No... Crocs loves me, I bet he'd be rather honest about our relationship." I said, shaking my head. "Try it, but remember, to everyone else, you're just one of their coworkers." She said, her gaze turning towards the increasing crowd.

Once everyone assembled, Crocodile began to speak about our current mission, and whilst he was doing this I scooted a little closer to him. His gaze then turned to me. "Hey... Miss YN. Back off." He said, shoving me away.

I was simply shocked. I didn't pay attention to his speech or anything, except the barely noticeable chuckles of Miss All Sunday right next to me.

After the meeting was over, everyone left, and Miss All Sunday came right up next to me. "I told you." She whispered, a horrid grin on her face. I made a "Tch" noise at her and went off right behind Crocodile.

As we walked down the hallway, it was silent. Neither Crocs nor I spoke until I finally decided to say something. "Why'd you shove me away?" I asked, trying to make my voice sound more inquisitive than upset. He stopped walking and turned around. "Lack of a professional attitude, Miss YN." He said, his voice sharp and bitter. The tone sent shivers down my spine. I then looked back up at him. "Why... Does it matter? You're supposed to be my lover, right? I don't understand how I need to fit into a professional attitude when I'm not even getting paid for staying around here." I said, glaring at him.

Crocodile was taken aback. "Get... Paid? No no, you don't work here-" He said as I cut him off. "That's my point. You shouldn't have to be like that. I know that you have to terrify all those workers or whatever they're called, but in all honesty, I doubt that they'd care." I said, shaking my head. "Oh... And why is that?" He asked, unamused. "They're already afraid of you. Some woman hanging onto you isn't going to make them less scared." I said, sighing.

Crocodile turned and thought for a moment. "Ok, if you want to be all cuddly during a meeting, then so be it, but those men had aught not leave." He said, his expression softening. 'That's like his way of saying yes!' I thought to myself, excited.

The next time we had a meeting, Miss All Sunday was standing by me again. "So... How's it been going with Sir Crocodile since then?" She asked, curious. "Well, actually. I have no complaints, and I know you're going to be surprised today." I said, smiling wide. "Ok then, surprise me." She said, returning my smile.

Crocodile came into the room and began to speak again, but this time when I stepped closer to him, he gently pulled me and put his cape around me. There were several gasps from the crowd. "This is Miss YN, you haven't been formally introduced to her yet, but she isn't going to do work like all of you. She's going to stay around here with me. If you've got an issue with that, state it now." He said, holding me tight to the side of his chest.

No one dared to speak a word. Crocs smiled, then leaned down and kissed the top of my head. For the rest of the meeting, I was happy to be tight in his embrace.

Halfway through, I looked over at Miss All Sunday, and just as expected, she was shocked.
