"it's fine," she said quickly, "it's fine. i'm going to get up and walk around and it'll disappear. it's not even there, it's fine. don't even worry okay? okay? it's fine," she was talking so fast you could barely understand her towards the end.

"robin," you couldn't help but laugh which cause some pain so you grimaced. this was who she was. you looked down at the puncture wound in your stomach. so much blood.

so so much blood.

"tell the others," you took a deep breath, "that it's been done okay? i need you to go back there and cut the rope okay?" you looked at her, she was full on sobbing and shaking her head.

"i'm not leaving you," she cried. she had been standing far away, not even trying to look, but she finally come close.

you used any strength you had and grabbed her from the back of her head and pulled her close to you. your noses were touching, "it's okay sweetheart. you don't have to worry about me. i've lived the best life. i'm happy." you placed a soft kiss on your girlfriend's lips and you tasted the saltiness of both your tears.

"im sorry im so sorry," she started crying even harder as she looked closer at the wound.

"please stop love. look at me," she looked up from the ground, "i'll always be with you okay? no matter where you are. i love you robin and my love for you won't end here." you kissed her again and really took in the sight of her.

the girl that was yours. for a long time, robin had a crush on you and you had no idea whatsoever. honestly, you truly didn't pay attention to anyone at school that way. you just made friends and had a good time.

you we're friends with steve who introduced you to robin. she talked about so many different things in the span of 10 minutes and you couldn't help but just laugh. still, you were able to catch up with anything she spoke about. she was quite adorable and when steve called you a "fucking idiot with two brain cells who wouldn't see something good even it triple slapped you across the face. maybe i should slap you across the face huh? wait no i couldn't do that, i'm sorry y/n, i hope you know that—" anyway, he helped you see what was in front of you.

and you are grateful for the year you've had with robin for its been the most fun and loving experience you've ever had. it's the first real relationship you've ever had and it was the best. you felt incredibly lucky that the universe even decided to put the you that is robin's in the same timeline as the robin that is your robin. 

"i love you robin. now please go," you felt weaker. you could not let robin see you go. "please, robin. please."

she caressed your cheeks one last time, you closed your eyes to appreciate it more, and then she kissed you. god, you would miss this woman if you ever had to live without her. you are happy you won't have to.

"i love you forever, y/n."

"i love you forever and ever, robin."

and then the love of your life ran towards the gate that would take her home. you smiled and thought of robin again and then your friends.

it would all be okay.
