XG 161 - General bias toward their occupation

Luckily, Dal seems to understand what Wong Xue Guo was saying, even with her inaccurate pronunciation, but they do not understand him, who could not speak.

They tried giving him a pen to write, but he have no strength to lift it at all. Next, they tried a cellphone, but the rabbit does not have any fingers to type without constantly typing a few buttons in one go. Not only that, the boy also does not know English. Even if they had set the phone configuration to Korean, it could not translate the words to English for them.

RIP, their internet server was still down.

As for Wong Xue Guo's phone with a private internet line? There was none, as the server was now downgraded only for calling and messaging functions.

Then Smoker gave them a bottle of ink he managed to find somewhere, telling the boy to dip to write. Just when the rabbit was about to dip its round-ended arm into the bottle, Wong Xue Guo quickly stopped him in alarm. She quickly test if the ink was washable or not first, or else the plushie would have a permanent ink stain and a red one at that.

He would be scaring everyone with his killer rabbit appearance!

But after the boy succeeds in writing out his name in very crooked handwriting, which was rather good for the first attempt, Wong Xue Guo belatedly realized she does not understand the letter.

With no other choice, Wong Xue Guo went around to hunt for Kim Sung-Ho, only to be told that he had gone out with L.L. and Beom Seok to train their skills on zombies that were getting dangerously close to Masan street.

This time, Jihyo would give them more solar panels to express her gratitude?

Unfortunately, Chen Yibo was still ongoing his awakening procedure and Chen YiWen was overseeing it. Wong Xue Guo was not close to Director Chen, so she did not even bother inquiring about his whereabouts to disturb him.

Although she had spent the entire winter at Musihada base, that does not mean she was close to anyone, or even trusting them about her ability.

It just so happened that Do Eunhyuk and his daughter were passing by. A soldier and a policewoman should be trustworthy, or have basic decency not to spread whatever sensitive stuff to others, right?

She decided to bet on their character from her general bias toward their occupation, so she grabbed the father and daughter to help as translators.

Only after she roped them in did she find that she could actually tell them about the boy's story, without needing to share a single word about her shadow's involvement. The boy's ability is possession after all.

Thankfully, Do Wheein willingly took over in communicating with the boy, all the while her eyes could not contain her adoration and pity towards the rabbit doll moving on its own.

Even Wong Xue Guo found that the rabbit looked much cuter compared to its previous inanimate state.

Miu finally agreed to stay at the base, unable to refute that her ability was clearly not suitable for battle, especially when she was not properly trained or had any field experience to fight zombies.

When Wong Xue Guo arrived at the front gates, the van had crashed the gate but it was the vehicle that got destroyed. To the green-clothed guy's defence, he had driven at the fastest speed and was unable to stop in time, not that he dared to slow down with the chasing zombies right behind his heels.

It was lucky that he was not severely injured from the car crash and was still able to move. He was clinging onto the gate and was somehow able to climb halfway up thanks to the damaged van. As for the rest of the journey, he chooses to climb with the help of the old fence that was left alone even after they had installed a sturdy new gate against it, treating it as a dual-layer gate.

His actions constantly irritate his injuries, and the climbing had his fingers start bleeding when they scratched at the cement surface of the new gate. He could only scream to relieve his pain.

"Climb! Don't stop!" the guards told him as they protected his back, shooting at the zombies that had already approached the gates. The zombies mindlessly clawed the gate to reach the green-clothed guy, and it would not be good if their weight collapsed the gate!

The sight of the sturdy gate shaking was rather terrifying to see. The thickness could hold against the zombies well, but the problem was the hinges, which they had not heavily reinforced to support the thick gate.

What a serious issue they had overlooked!

The pushing and shoving had the hinges showing signs of it loosening, and the onlooker grew even more desperate to stop the zombies.

Unlike most flesh-eating monsters in the movies, the zombies in their world do not crave blood, but flesh. Hence, they do not have a reaction toward blood, but to living human's presence that gets their attention from sight and hearing.

No one could tell if it was less dangerous or not, but the green-clothed guy's scream certainly made him instantly famous with the zombies.

The guards had occupied the towers to attack the zombies outside, their gaze becoming more and more dispirited with the large number of zombies they had yet to kill.

While it was good that there were quite a lot of survivors that came over to help defend their gate, it was useless if their choice of weapon was for close-range combat.

The normal people, mostly the civilians that sought refuge in the Musihada land, looked like lost lambs while holding onto their choice of weapons like it was their life-saving talisman. Some tried to throw their weapon, intending to impale the zombie's heart, but with no training, their aim was either skewed or fall short of reaching the target. That attempt stopped after seeing others fail and lost their weapon.

A tall teenager with a lean frame but sturdy muscles climbed up the gates with a wooden ladder. Resting on his back were a bunch of clumsily made arrows out of tree branches, but the bow in his hand was a professional one.

Jeongin's face was full of concentration as he started clearing the zombies close to the climbing guy.

"Oooh! Thank you!" Max cried out in relief. He had been feeling fingers trying to grab his shoes, and it distracted his effort to climb well.

"Quickly climb up. Don't fall," Jeongin warned. Not all his shots accurately hit the zombie's hearts, as he was not used to training with moving targets, but his accuracy was more than eighty percent.

Wong Xue Guo was impressed with the archer, who she had not seen before.

"Brave kid," a guard nearby praised as he reload his gun. Most of them knew Jeongin, a hardworking kid that willingly helped the guards to patrol occasionally if he was not training his archery or taking care of his ill father.

"Some of you help make more arrows for Jeongin to shoot! Those that know some archery and have extra bows, join in the attack!" The captain of the guard on duty ordered.

Unfortunately, their currently highest damage dealer ability user was in Italy and the second high damage output, Do Eunhyuk, only has one gun even if it had endless bullets without reloading time.

As for the infamous Vihaan, he had followed Kim Sung-Ho's training outing as well and was unknown when he would return.

Among the crowd, Wong Xue Guo was surprised to spot Lee Su-Hwa joining the fight. Beside her was Yuna, clinging onto her side with a dazed expression.

Really? Do they even want Yuna to test her ability too? With her mind that had regressed to that of a child?
