Chapter 71: Meeting the 1st years

Ayanokouji POV

After noticing that there weren't any Class 1-D students for some reason back in that meet-and-greet. Yuuichi, Kei, Tenji, and I arrived at Class 1-D's room and noticed that it was empty for some reason. Lelouch, Suzaku and Kazuto also arrived as well. 

"I'm guessing you four are here for the same reason?" Lelouch asked 

"Yeah, how's your search for a partner?" I asked 

"Well good thing we found ourselves some partners and Kazuto here just recently also got a partner" Suzaku said 

"Yeah, but she was weird." Kazuto said 

"Weird how?" Tenji asked 

"Well, she mentioned your name Kiyotaka-san" 

"hmm? who is she?" I asked 

"Well, if I recall her name was Tsubaki Sakurako. She just ended up finding me and asked me to be her partner. I told her that would be great, and she even asked if I'm from Class S and if I know Ayanokouji." Kazuto explained. This is strange, from what Kazuto said it sounded like Tsubaki knows me or something. Could she be from the White Room? 

"Well at least we got our partners what about you four?" Lelouch asked 

"We haven't found anyone yet. The students in the auditorium were all low-grade students. Not even worth checking out but the suspicious thing is that Class 1-D was absent in that place, so we decided to check out their room" Yuuichi said 

"We noticed it too, so shall we check them out?" Lelouch said as he opened the door. To our surprise nobody was there. The classroom was empty. 

"You're kidding right? Where's Class 1-D?" Kei asked 

"Okay this is getting really suspicious now" Tenji said 

"Whatever is going on. Something is definitely off" Lelouch said 

"I agree" I said 

"Should we fan out and find Class 1-D?" Kazuto asked 

"Negative, we'll only waste our time. Besides we still have days away before the exam." Lelouch said 

"I agree, I'm not about to waste time running around campus just to find them" Yuuichi said while scratching his head.

"Looks like we are all in agreement?" 

Everyone nodded.

It was the next morning as I walked to school by myself as a girl arrived next to me. 

"Hello, Ayanokouji-kun" It was Tokisaki who was next to me as we walked. 

"Is it okay if we walk together to school?" she asked 

"Sure" I said as we both walked together. 

"Say, Ayanokouji-kun. You look handsome up close." she said 

"Ughh thanks" I said as I can heard her giggle

"Well then is it okay if you do me a favor?" she asked 

"What is it?"  

"Can you help me study, I mean I'm still finding a partner for the exam, but I also want a partner for studying. Is it alright if you become my study partner?" she asked 

"I'm not sure, I'm pretty busy most of the time" I replied as she suddenly came in front of me. 

"Are you sure? come on Ayanokouji-kun. I need someone to help me, but I couldn't ask anyone else from class, so I chose you instead" Tokisaki said
