Shirogane POV
"Alright, wish me luck" Sudo-san said
"I'll be watching" I said to him
To be honest, he's way out of her league.
I've heard that he reached the top 10 in his class in the last exam but that's just a small fraction of what Sudo-san is capable of and probably his limit.
I do respect his hard work.
He sort of reminds me of me when I thought Kaguya was way out of my league before.
I just see the same thing with Sudo-san and Horikita-san.
In my opinion, I don't think Sudo-san is cut out for her.
Not that I want him to fail or anything, but I think Horikita-san isn't the type of person that's even interested in romance.
Just my intuition but I sense a rejection coming.
I saw Sudo-san heading to the gift shop where Horikita-san is, and they both walked outside to a nearby hall.
I followed them.
I saw them took a right turn and from there I just hid in the corner and eavesdropped on their conversation.
"What do you want to talk about Sudo-kun?" Horikita-san asked
"I just wanted to ask, have I improved myself as of late?" Sudo-san asked
"I do admit it, you have changed a lot since the 1st year" Horikita-san replied
"Really?" Sudo-san sound excited there
"But it doesn't change the fact that your mistakes in the past have hurt the class before" Horikita-san said
"I know but I have gotten better ever since, I didn't cause trouble for anyone, and I have been studying hard like you said" Sudo-san said
Things are starting to get intense there
Will you do it, Sudo-san?
"Suzune, will you please be my girlfriend?"
And there it is.
I hear nothing but silence for a bit as my guess is Horikita-san was surprised by the sudden question.
Let's see how she responds.
"Sudo-kun, I..."
What will it be Horikita-san?
"I apologize but I can't date you" she said
"What?' Sudo-san sounded distraught upon hearing those words.
Just as I predicted but I do feel bad for Sudo-san though.
"But why? could you tell me why? Suzune?" the now heartbroken Sudo asked
"I've never really experienced having those kinds of feelings to anyone" she replied
"I...I understand" Sudo-san said with a sorrowful tone.
I was honestly sad that she rejected him since I heard from Kei-san that Sudo-san is a great person and has been improving himself as of late.
He worked as hard as he could like I was so that I could get Kaguya to notice me.
I guess the goddess of luck isn't on his side.
"I'm just glad that you have an explanation" Sudo-san said
"I am quite flattered that you actually like me, but you still need to work on yourself." Horikita-san said
