Episode 8-4: The Wing of Love

"No! Kiana, do you copy?! Kiana, come in! Where is Captain?!"

Fu Hua was desperately trying to get her in contact after an explosion occurred in the ME Corp.

"Right here, Fuka. Status report!"

Juggler managed to get back to the bridge on time when Fu Hua was about to call him, much to her slight surprise.

"Captain, right on time. Kiana is MIA. I couldn't get her in contact. Don't tell me... she's still trapped inside, with Y/N there!"

He clicked his tongue in annoyance. The whole Hyperion would be in big trouble, not only for their loss of two reliable comrades but the Overseer plan, which could potentially lead them to disband.

"What about Bronya?"

Loud explosion sound amplified from the ME Corp facility, amplifying sound waves around the rural area up to 80 km away, more than enough to cause the Hyperion Squads' ear to buzz.

They're almost at the facility in the C7 access, but the shortcut path they took was still blocked in view by the small buildings.

"That explosion!" Himeko retorted in reaction.

Mei lowered her head in a stammering look. "Explosion...?"

"Could that be from ME Corp?!" She craned her head up sharply from confusion to panicking face that her friends were still held captive and could get killed.

"This is Bronya. Bronya is safe, and Bronya managed to extract Wendy."

That voice of a Russian girl she recognized, the flat voice that she got used to. Mei felt her mind racing with hopeful thoughts, but she wanted to ensure that her friends were safe.

"Bronya-chan! Bronya-chan! You're alright?! Where is Kiana-chan?! And... Y/N-kun...?"

Despite being slightly soured on mentioning Y/N, she still wanted to ensure.

Bronya, in her Ultrasuit X, was running away from the facility, filled with inner rage, while bringing Wendy to safety first with her help from Project Bunny.

The death of Kiana and Y/N before her sight triggered her furious heart for the first time in her entire life.

She had never been that emotional after volunteering as a test subject for her former mother. The scream of despair from Wendy, she couldn't bear it. For once, she wanted to break her character and settle down with the behemoth robot that murdered them under the command of Cocolia.

'Wait... Bronya running with Bronya's own feet? Could this be the Ultrasuit X that Bronya utilized?'

She suddenly realized that she had been sprinting using her own legs. She didn't know how she could run on her own since her legs were paralyzed by the side effects of her previous test subject, but for some reason, it felt as if her legs didn't suffer any symptoms in the first place.

Each step she set on the ground made her swifter and faster.

Even with the obstacles before her sight, she had no problem performing evasive turns with a slight decrease in speed. It also generated a shield that can deflect any obstacle paths. Her running speed combined with the shield was enough to dash and pierce through the Anti-Entropy robots patrolling the area at C7 Point, ramming them away from her path without flinching.

There was a closed gate in front, but with her quick thinking, she summoned the Zetton Gauntlet on her Project Bunny to shoot the entrance, providing her escape route.
