September 8th

I stared ahead at Jax, Aurua, and Rosie as they entered my house without my fucking permission and ruining my time with Celestia.

"Who the fuck let you in?"

Jax smirked as he stood with his fists on his hips. "You...left the door unlocked and I told you we were coming. What're you all muddy for? Both of you."

"Yea." Rosie spoke up, unprovoked.

"We fell. While taking the rugs outside, it was slippery and we fell." I looked down at Celestia as she lied. Why? I don't know but I'm just gonna assume she's not comfortable with telling people I was sticking my tongue down her throat a minute ago.

Aurua wandered off through the drowned house, uninterested in what we were talking about, as Jax redirected his suspecting and sinister gaze onto me. "Is that true?" He questioned, his lips twitching to hear me lie.

"Of course, whatever Moonie says happened, happened. Don't call her a liar." I walked through the water and toward the duo, Rosie not even bothering to look at me. "Did you think of any way to help?"

Jax sighed. "We can use a vacuum." He smiled brightly, his palms hitting my shoulders in an attempt to convince me that it was a good idea.

"Do you know how fucking dumb you sound?"

He rolled his eyes before tapping my cheek lightly as he walked around me. "Not an actual vacuum. A shop vac."

I turned, my eyes landing on Celestia and Rosie talking in the corner beside the back door. I want to be nosey and listen to what shes saying to my Moonie to make her have that look on her face but I won't. I'll just ask her later.

"I don't own a shop vac."

"Then we can rent one." Jax hummed as he inspected the damage. "It's not that bad tho. Some peoples houses are only half of what it once was. You've just got some water damage. We can do what we can with the shop vac and leave the rest to the professionals." Jax nodded at me for approval.

"You sound like you know every fucking thing."

"He looked it up in the car," our attention turned to Aurua who had come back with two muffins and a slice of cheese in her hand. "Nice hand prints." She pointed her pinky up at me, probably pointing to the muddy handprints covering my face.

Jax laughed as Aurua went off into the kitchen again. "Yea you guys should lie better next time. Don't think Rosie believed it."

"Moonie doesn't lie. And even if I lied, who gives a shit what she thinks?"

Jax hummed lowly, a mischievous smile on his lips. "Celestia obviously does."

I raised my eyebrow as I turned to follow Jax. "Fuck is that supposed to mean?"
