October 22nd

I don't know what happened, but after I told him I was proud of him, he was almost completely silent the rest of the way home and his grip on my hand was too strong for me to even try and break from.

"Kai—" he slammed his door before I even got close to finishing my sentence. I watched him walk around to my side, his eyes almost pulsing. He looked anxious.

I looked up at him as he opened my door, his chest flattening as he stood still. "Are you ok?" I murmured.

He was silent for a few seconds, like he was calculating something behind his eyes. "...I'm ok, I'm sorry." He breathed out, a tired smile crossing his face and into his eyes.

I hummed before I offered him my hand. He took it gently in his, his fingers taking their time to graze across mine before taking hold of them.

He helped me from the car and he followed behind me as I guided him toward the porch. I glanced back at him, my heart stopped for a moment when I saw that he was already staring back.

I stood in front of his door and gently pulled him in front of me. "Are you ok, Kai?" I whispered up to him, his eyes dreamy and soft.

"Moon..."

I tilted my head slightly as I waited for him to finish his sentence. He looked so zoned out that, by his eyes, I couldn't even tell if he was really seeing me, but by how he was holding my hand as his thumb grazed across the back of it, and that lazily perfect smile on his face, I knew he was.

He hummed as he leaned down toward me, his hands pulling mine downward as he held them slightly tighter. He pecked my lips as I watched his eyes fluttered shut.

"Kai...?" I murmured in between his short but sweet kisses. I removed one of my hands from his and he took that as a sign to pull me in closer by my waist. I rested my hand on his chest as his body arched into mine. "Are you—"

"I love you."

My eyes widened as I froze in front of him. "Kai—" he hummed as he kissed toward my cheek, his hands cupping my face as his lips traveled around. "What—did you mean to say that?"

"I love you, Celestia." He repeated it again as if for confirmation that he wasn't crazy—or that I'm not and I heard him correctly the first time. "I love you so much and it feels so amazing to tell you that. I love you." His voice was so deep and smooth that even if he was lying, I wouldn't know.

I watched him, my tongue unable to form words as he continued to mutter the three words as his lips made their way back to mine.
