~ SIMRAN ~

The Party was in full swing, the atmosphere was romantically charming as several couples were dancing together on a romantic waltz expressing their love for each other. I was still suppressed behind the pillar of the balcony while in the grand hall of the hotel, everything appeared so perfect just like a rich fat business party should be.

"He is still mourning over Ruhi, isn't he?"

"He is still mourning over Ruhi, isn't he?"

I sighed feeling underlined by all those bottled emotions that have always tormented my nights, now discovering he never forgot about me is making feel so pathetic as I was assured he would eventually move on in his life leaving his Ruhi behind but fortunately or I must say unfortunately he never forgot about me once which is making me feel like a bad guy since I was so stubbornly convinced that he would get over me sooner as for men their needs are above everything, but not for my Zander, he is still sheltering his dead Ruhi in his soul.

How can he be so devoted, it's been damn fucking seven years... Seven years should be enough to forget someone like Ruhi... She was just an ugly, charmless girl.

"Hello, beautiful. Aren't you too alone by yourself?"

I jerked my attention to concede a familiar face that almost gave my eyes a heart attack as they just go wide in horror seeing him after so many years, my shitty ex was standing right in front of me with that same stupid smile.

Vivaan!

It was like a bitter truth of poison splashed on my face as I never thought I would ever see him again, why is it always me? The more I am trying to escape my past, the more I am being chased by it as if I can't ever escape the reality no matter what I do.

"Hey, I was just complimenting you," He shyly gave me an innocent glance.

In reply, I just stepped back to end up slamming my back into the pillar and my eyes finally gauged him wholly who was eyeing me in stupor while I was reeling those flashbacks of those times when he body-shamed me, belittled me, and threw me out of his life as he didn't find me attractive anymore.

Breathing in, and breathing out, I just closed my eyes for a second before addressing him with my cold eyes knowing that I shouldn't fear him now. He's just a loser with a pathetic face.

"Excuse me but I am not interested in your compliments so trash them on someone else," I throw my words like bricks at him with a big fake smile.

Rolling my eyes uninterestingly, I just brushed past him towards the stairs but could still feel his sharp eyes ogling at my back but I simply stepped down catching every single male's attention including my husband's who was looking too handsome in that tux especially his big toned body was purely signified with his beautiful aura.
