The day finally arrived Gwen was ready to go back to work. After sleepless nights of panic attacks, and Gwen crying in bed due to nightmares, she was ready to go back out there. Without Tim she didn't know how she was going to be ready to go back to work. He had been so supportive and guided her through every attack she went though.

Gwen stood in front of the mirror dressed in jeans, and a light colored top. Her hair was left in its natural waves and makeup kept minimal. Tim walked up to Gwen his hands wrapped around her body.

"So beautiful" he mumbled into her neck. His hot breath tickled against her neck Gwen smiled and turned around leaning up to give him a kiss.

"Are you ready to get back out there?" He asked, Gwen nodded grabbing her badge and gun. She felt like she was ready but she couldn't help but feel a bit nervous.

Tim's hands trailed down her backside giving her a squeeze "I can be quick" Tim suggested leaning down and giving her pecks along her neck. Gwen groaned "You didn't get enough last night?" She joked. Tim laughed "Never" he pecked her lips once more.

She looked at the time seeing that they had to be at the station in 30 minutes "As much as I would love that. We're going to be late. Let's go" she pushed him away with a laugh.

Tim groaned playfully "I love you" he said in all seriousness. Gwen smiled grabbing her bag she could never get used to that "I love you more" she said following Tim outside to his truck.

Gwen stood in the locker room with her shirt lifted up slightly, her hands grazed against the tattoo. She closed her eyes hearing the sound of the tattoo gun as the tiny needles pierced her skin. She could feel her body become numb as she replayed her weak body being strapped down to the table.

"Hey Gwen?" Angela question. Gwen jumped pulling her shirt down immediately. Gwen wiped the tear she didn't realize she was crying. Angela looked at her in a worry "Are you ok?" She asked.

Gwen nodded "Yeah I'm okay. Ready to get back out there" she said. Gwen took one more deep breath and walked out of the locker room leaving Angela worried.

As soon as Gwen walked into the briefing room every Officer stood up and started to clap their hands. After a month of recovery Gwen was back and they couldn't be more greatful and proud. Gwen gave a quick smile and sat down quickly not liking the attention on her.

"Welcome back Detective, good to see you here" Grey said. Gwen smiled and gave a small nod.

Sergeant Grey began to discuss todays details, Gwen did what she could to pay attention but she couldn't help but zone out. Every time she zoned out or closed her eyes she saw her self back in the barrel or getting hit by Caleb.

"Lastly, the brass wants us to increase our social media presence within the community" Grey said, snapping Gwen out of her thoughts. She looked back at Grey.

"We're cops, not influencers" Tim said. Grey shook his head. Gwen resisted the urge to roll her eyes at her boyfriend.

"Like it or not, Officer Bradford, you're both. A strong relationship with the public makes us all safer. So let's show them we're people, too. Get out there, take a few selfies. Yes, Officer Nolan?" Grey called out to the older rookie.

"Back in Foxburg, I knew most of the cops by name" he said. Harper laughed "Because there were four of them" she joked.

Laughter was heard through the room making Nolan join in "Five, but the number didn't matter. It's just that they spent most of their time on foot. I mean, how are we supposed to take a selfie with someone when we're trapped in our shop most of the day?" Nolan continued.

Grey sparked an idea and smirked "That's a good point. We do spend too much time locked inside our shops. New plan. Everyone spends the morning on foot patrol." He ordered sending everyone into a fit of groans "Good one, Officer Nolan".

Gwen walked up to Sergeant Grey unclear on what her assignment or task was for the day.

"Sergeant?" She called out. He placed his papers down and looked at her giving her a smile "Truly glad you're here with us today Gwen, what do you need?" He asked.

"Thank you sir, just clarifying what's the task for the day?" She asked since she knew Angela was still on patrol with Jackson.

"You'll be riding with Bradford and Chen, unless anything comes up and someone needs your detective presence" Gwen nodded and thanked Grey before walking over to Tim and Lucy.

"Good morning Officer Chen" Gwen greeted. Lucy smiled "Good morning, are you with us today?" Gwen nodded.

"Yes,  let's go get the gear for the shop. We'll meet you at the garage Bradford" Gwen said. Tim nodded and watched Gwen and Lucy walk away.

Angela walked up to Tim noticing he was alone. She was going to use the opportunity to let Tim know she was worried about Gwen.

"Hey" she said, Tim looked at her and smiled "Hey, what's up?" Angela sighed looking in the direction where Gwen walked in "It's Gwen I'm worried about her" Angela said in a lower volume.

Tim stepped aside his attention fully on her "What about her? Did something happen?" He asked already feeling slightly worried.

"I don't know, I was in the locker room before briefing, and it looked like she was zoned out her shirt was raised and she was just looking at the tattoo. She was crying. Is she sleeping okay at home ?" Angela asked.

Tim sighed he's been noticing Gwen do that more frequently at home which she dismissed every time he brought it up. She promised him she was completely fine.

"I've noticed it sometimes at home. But I'll talk to her. Thank you for letting me know Angela" he said placing a hand on her shoulder before walking away.

He saw Gwen and Lucy talking outside of the shop . He watched as she smiled at  whatever Lucy was saying. How did he get so lucky with someone so gorgeous and caring? He didn't know but all he knew was he would do anything to protect her.

An: how do we like it ? What will happen next ?
