Scaramouche lay in bed, staring up at the dark ceiling. His head was hurting as confusing thoughts filled him.
He was still in shock from Venti's story. Who knew somebody as cheerful as him had such a tragic backstory? But there was something else bothering him.
It was just...
That smile Venti gave him after he finished talking... It was so chilling... Yet so familiar. He felt as of he'd seen it before... But he doesn't remember anyone who gave him such a smile. Tamaki was always bright and Kazuha had his own smiles that gave Scaramouche a weird feeling.
But Venti's smile was a different feeling. A feeling of terrifying and familiarity. Who the hell in his life ever gave him such a smile?!
He racked his brains hard to figure out... He went through every single memory he could remember in his head but it seem fruitless...
Until it finally hit him.
Like a truck. It was so shocking.
Scaramouche couldn't believe it. He let out a shaky breath, eyes wide.
That smile...
It was her...
It was just like the smile she gave him before...
His mother.
