As the strike fleet returned to their stronghold the two 'super ships' thought of how to deal with this threat as their equipment was very different from the standard that was expected now if this was applied to the rest of them, they would lose with time, so they thought of something rather reckless.
Zo: "My empress."
Empress: "So what's your assessment of enemy strength."
Fo: "We came to the conclusion that with time we would lose if our fight had been the same as their growing in numbers, so to level the playing field we ask of you to unleash a forbidden technology."
Empress: "Which one specifically."
Zo: "The Neuroi." The knights were the only ones able to look into this technology as the princess aren't on the battlefield to make the call.
Empress: "Very well, I'll have it unleashed but there will be unforeseen consequences for the future."
Fo: "We are well aware of that." The communications end there and within the hour the Neuroi was brought to the surface and formed a hive over an artificial island that the Abyssals created in the Pacific and so a new phase of the war had begun.
