Genesis 34-36
Genesis 34 brings forth a tale of strife,
A story that challenges our sense of life.
For Dinah, Jacob's daughter fair,
Was violated, causing great despair. Her brothers, filled with righteous wrath,
Deceived their enemies on a treacherous path.
They sought revenge, I must confess,
But their methods were born of bitterness. In Genesis 35, God called Jacob to move,
To Bethel, the place where dreams behoove.
There, Jacob built an altar to the Lord,
A reminder of grace, an offering adored.God appeared to Jacob, the promises renewed,
Renaming him Israel, a name so imbued.
It symbolized his transformation complete,
A man of faith, with a destiny sweet.Genesis 36 tells of Esau's lineage,
The descendants of the brother, with various plumage.
The Edomites emerged, a mighty nation,
From the bloodline of Esau, full of determination.Amidst the darkness of vengeance and strife,
God's hand still guides, offering new life.Let forgiveness reign, in our hearts and souls,
And let His love be the ultimate goal.
For in Him, transformation takes place,
And His promises endure, with eternal grace.
