Genesis 37-40

In Genesis 37, a tale begins,
Of Joseph and his dreams so vivid and keen.
His coat of many colors, a symbol of favor,
Filled his brothers' hearts with jealousy's flavor.

They plotted against him, their hearts consumed by hate,
And sold him into slavery, his fate sealed by fate.
But God had a plan, a purpose yet unseen,
To use Joseph for His glory, to fulfill a grand scheme.

In Egypt, Joseph served with all his might,
And his master Potiphar saw his integrity shine bright.
But temptation arose in a momentary sway,
Yet Joseph stayed faithful, choosing God's righteous way.

For this, he was falsely accused and thrown in jail,
But even there, God's presence did not fail.
Interpreting dreams of Pharaoh's cupbearer and baker,
Joseph's gift of insight brought hope as their maker.

In Genesis 40, the dreams were fulfilled,
As Joseph correctly interpreted, God's wisdom instilled.
The cupbearer would be restored, the baker met his demise,
Yet Joseph remained forgotten, his hope in the skies.

In this saga of despair,
How patience and faith in God does repair.
No matter the circumstance, His hand is always near,
To guide, to redeem, to bring purpose clear.
