In Joshua 7 to 10, tales unfold,
Of battles fought, victories bold.
From Ai's defeat to Gibeon's trick,
These stories weave a thrilling mix.

In Ai, the Israelites faced defeat,
For Achan's sin, they had to retreat.
He took forbidden spoils for his own,
Disobedience reaped what was sown.

But in repentance, they sought God's grace,
And the battle of Ai they would embrace.
With strategies devised, they made it right,
Victorious they stood, in God's holy light.

The Gibeonites, cunning in disguise,
Sought a treaty, with clever lies.
Israel made a vow they could not break,
And protected Gibeon, for their own sake.

Upon hearing this, five kings arose,
To destroy Gibeon, their rage did impose.
But Joshua prayed, "Sun, stand still!",
God heeded his request, with His sovereign will.

As the battle raged on, with sword and spear,
God fought for Israel, removing all fear.
With hailstones and darkness, He intervened,
And with His mighty hand, the victory was gleaned.
