Deuteronomy 11-13
In Deuteronomy 11, a call to remember,
God's mighty works, through each September.
His faithfulness, unwavering and true,
A reminder of the blessings He'll bestow on you.
Observe His commandments, keep them close,
With undying love, your heart He chose.
Teach them to your children as they grow,
Planting seeds of truth, so they too may know.
Let God's words be like a constant stream,
Flowing through your thoughts, a holy theme.
Write them on your doorposts, a daily sight,
A testament of faith in the darkest night.
In chapter 12, a plea to worship right,
Not following idols, nor giving in to fright.
Gather before the Lord, in one accord,
In His presence, find peace and be restored.
Avoid every detestable practice and sin,
Offer your sacrifices solely to Him.
In all you do, seek the Lord's delight,
For He alone is the source of true light.
Chapter 13 warns of deceit and false ways,
Testing your faith in these perilous days.
Do not be tempted by those who deceive,
Stay rooted in God's truth and never leave.
So let your heart be captivated by these words,
Treasure them deeply, like singing birds.
For in the book of Deuteronomy, we find,
God's wisdom and guidance, ever entwined.
