"He's really pissed, isn't he?" Sirius said watching Ron's outburst with a smile.

"Can't really blame him though." Remus shrugged.

Dumbledore turned to the half-giant and said: "Hagrid, in the future, learn to be more mindful of your words and actions."

"Yes, Headmaster." Hagrid said with his face red from embarrassment.

The scene changed from the night near Hagrid's hut to the clean chambers of the infirmary. Harry, Ryan, Ron and Neville were all sat down around Hermione's petrified form.

The sunlight from the windows seemed to indicate that the sun was starting to set on yet another day. Ryan was seen pacing at the foot of Hermione's bed as Harry sat next to her.

"There's has to be something we missed." Ryan stated. "Something we overlooked or something."

"Like what?" Neville asked.

"I don't know." Ryan grunted in frustration.

Harry looked from his cousin to Hermione's frozen body. "Wish you were here Hermione." Harry said. "We need you... now, more than ever."

Harry placed his hand with Hermione's and a peculiar look came to his face. Harry looked at Hermione's hand and started to pull something out of it. It was a piece of paper that had been crumbled up into a small ball.

"What’s that?" Ron asked.

Ryan stopped pacing and looked at Harry as Neville also gave him his attention.

"Ron," Harry eyes widened as he read through the papers contents, "this is why Hermione was in the Library the day she was attacked. Come on!"

"Finally! A lead!" James said excitedly.

Harry got up from his chair and rushed out of the infirmary with Ryan, Ron and Neville trailing after him.

The scene followed them and by the time it arrived with them, the lanterns of the corridors were lighting the way through the school. Harry was looking through the letter and was reading out to the other boys.

"Of the many fearsome beasts that roam our land, none is more deadly than the basilisk. Capable of sleeping for hundreds of years, instant death awaits any who meet this giant serpent’s eye. Spiders flee before it.’" Harry read out excitedly. "This is it. The monster in the Chamber of Secrets is a basilisk. That’s why I can hear it speak. It’s a snake!"

Ryan took out his locket and inspected the S that was inscribed on it. On closer inspection, the S seemed to glow a bit and when it did, Ryan saw that it wasn't an S but a snake.

"Bloody hell!' Fleamont said.

"It's all starting to make sense." Cathy nodded.

"Have you heard of a Basilisk before?" Regulus asked.
