TESS'S POV

.

We sat in the spinny chairs, obviously getting too distracted by its spinning wonders to listen to the interviewer.

It was kind of funny because while she was trying to get our attention we would spin around in these chairs.

Jenna shrieked, almost falling off and bubbling out a laugh. The audience laughed collectively, like in those tv shows.

"Well girls, you seem to be enjoying those chairs there. They just came in.'' The lady commented, laughing. "I'm Casey."

"Hi Casey." Rose waved, purposely yelling it.

''Sorry for our weirdness.'' Cara chuckled, just smiling.

"Well, let's get right down to business. Today you'll be performing a new song for us, right?"

"Correct." I nod once.

"And this song will also be featured on your setlist during Warped Tour?"

"Yes! We cannot wait for Warped, we're all just waiting until the day comes which is.. In a week from now."

"Any bands you're excited to run into?''

"There's just a lot of amazing people going to be there.. Pierce The Veil, All Time Low, Sleeping With Sirens." Jenna began to list from the top of her head.

"And All Time Low are like our annoying brothers, we love them but then again they're idiots.'' Rose pointed, making me laugh slightly.

I couldn't help but think of.. Him. Alex.

Cara could see how uncomfortable I was once they were mentioned, then again she always knew when something was wrong.

"And the crowds, we heard they'd be huge.'' She changed subjects and I looked at her with relief. She just smiles at me before continuing on.

"Yeah, mosh pits and all. Be careful children, stay out of those.'' Rose talked mockingly like a mother.

"Highly advised by Rose here.'' The interviewer laughs, making me smile.

And I wish that I could just fully push back the thoughts of my past, out of my brain. But I can't.. It wasn't that simple, apparently.

.

After the interview, we got set up quickly to perform our new song, Ain't It Fun. It was still very pop punk, but it had a fair amount of pop in it that radios would agree to play it.

Why do people have to be so biased against punk music? Geez. It annoys me.

I was in the middle of strapping my bass on when brief images from flashbacks of Calum teaching me how to play a song on this.

I couldn't help but remember it was all a part of the stupid bet though.. My heart broke more than it should at the memory.

Before I even knew it, Rose had counted us off with her drumsticks before the song began.

I was playing the bass, but.. I felt nothing. I didn't feel the music like I usually did, a blank look on my face. All I could remember was how Calum's fingertips were against mine as he lead them on the strings of the bass. I could almost remember how it felt.. That is until heartbreak just completely took over.
