Siddhart's Pov:

After a long and tiring lecture, I found myself in the cafeteria with Rohan, engaged in a discussion about our upcoming assignments.

But amidst our conversation, my attention was drawn to a familiar sight—a burst of laughter that echoed through the bustling cafeteria, drawing my gaze like a moth to a flame.

There she was, Alisha, seated at a nearby table, her laughter infectious as she chatted animatedly with her friend.

For some inexplicable reason, my heart fluttered at the sight of her, and I found myself momentarily entranced by her joyful presence.

Stopping mid-sentence, I sat down across from her, pretending to be engrossed in my own thoughts as I stole glances in her direction.

Rohan, ever observant, couldn't help but notice my sudden change in demeanor.

"Hey, isn't that the same girl from the cafe?"

he whispered, nudging me with a knowing grin.

"Are you sitting here just to get a better look at her?"

I shook my head, attempting to play it cool.

"No, no, of course not,"

I replied hastily, my cheeks flushing slightly.

"I just... like this seat, that's all."

But as I fumbled for an excuse, Alisha rose from her seat and began to make her way towards the exit. Panic seized me, and I cursed myself for not seizing the opportunity to speak to her.

Gathering my thoughts, I scolded myself silently, reminding myself of the dangers of falling for someone, especially someone as captivating as Alisha.

But before I could dwell on my internal struggle any longer, Rohan's voice broke through my thoughts.

"Hey, look who's back,"

he exclaimed, pointing towards the entrance. Startled, I glanced around in confusion, only to be met with Rohan's hearty laughter.

Realization dawned on me, and I couldn't help but join in, laughing along with Rohan at my own foolishness.

As we continued to laugh, Rohan's tone turned serious.

"You know, Siddhart, I think you really like that girl,"

he said, his voice soft but firm.

"It's like destiny wants you two to be together. You should talk to her, man. Maybe it's time to move on."

I shook my head, dismissing his words with a wave of my hand.

"No, it's just a coincidence,"

I insisted, trying to convince myself as much as Rohan.

"We won't meet again."

But even as the words left my mouth, a shiver ran down my spine at the thought of them coming true.

Rohan persisted, his gaze unwavering.

"If you do meet her again, promise me you'll talk to her,"

he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.Reluctantly, I nodded, knowing deep down that I would never have to fulfill that promise.

After all, what were the chances of our paths crossing again?
