ఌ 𝟤𝟢𝟣𝟧, 𝗇𝖾𝗐 𝗒𝗈𝗋𝗄 𝖼𝗂𝗍𝗒 ఌNATASHA WALKED INTO MARTA'S ROOM three days after the raid on the Hydra base without any care, finding Marta with a bottle of vodka in her grip, seated by her window. "This is getting ridiculous." Natasha rolled her eyes, standing in front of Marta.
The blonde looked up. "Please, come right in." Marta said, putting her bottle down beside her leg.
"You're going to Tony's party tonight. You've been hiding in here for three days, and your boyfriend misses you." Natasha took a seat on the edge of Marta's bed, her red hair resting against her shoulders.
Marta scoffed. "I am not going to Tony's party tonight, I have not been hiding, and Steve is not my boyfriend." she listed, annoyed at Natasha's sudden intervention.
Natasha smiled to herself. "Funny thing is, I didn't mention Steve." the assassin knew things about Steve and Marta that Marta herself didn't know.
Marta rolled her eyes, taking another sip of vodka. "Congrats, you got me. I love Steve, he already knows that. And this party seems like hell." she spoke, dreading the thought of having to socialize. Marta had always been a pretty closed up person. She didn't share her emotions and she didn't talk about things that bothered her. But Marta knew she would have to talk to Steve eventually.
"Just come. Enjoy the victory," Natasha stood up, grabbing a dress that she had hidden from Marta's view. "You're wearing this." she tossed a dark purple satin dress at Marta, the super-soldier grasping the material out of the air.
"I hate purple. My color is blue." Marta said after a moment of observing the dress.
Natasha rolled her eyes. "Steve tell you that?" she remarked.
"Fuck off." Marta said, annoyance in her voice. She tossed the dress onto her bed and drank more vodka.
Natasha began to leave the room. "See you at seven." she said, walking into the hallway and shutting Marta's door behind her.
Once Natasha was gone, Marta grabbed the nearest pillow and shoved her face into it, screaming as loudly as she could. After her voice ran out, Marta felt better, but she still didn't want to go to Tony's celebratory party. Marta weighed her options in her mind, and she finally decided that she would go, get a drink, and leave. As it got later in the evening, Marta laid eyes on the satin dress once more.
Marta straightened her hair and pulled the dress on over her body, the material fitting her frame very well. The straps were thin and the dress reached the middle of her thigh. Marta gained a few extra inches of height from the beige heels Natasha advised she strapped on. Marta didn't even know why she was going, but she figured nobody would bother her for a few days if she sucked it up and socialized.
There were a ton of people in the Tower that evening, and Marta hoped that she could fly under the radar and live at the bar for an hour or so. When she arrived, Marta instinctively tried to search for Steve, and she looked away as soon as she saw him, instead moving towards Maria, Rhodey, Thor and Tony. "Lady Marta, you look divine." Thor said, offering her a drink.
Marta smiled softly, accepting the alcohol she was offered. "Where's Pepper?" Marta wondered. She had only met Tony's girlfriend once, but Marta liked Pepper.
"She's not coming?" Rhodey asked, and Tony shrugged.
"What about Jane? Where are the ladies, gentlemen?" Maria turned to Thor, standing beside Marta with an identical glass of alcohol in her hand.
