STEVE AND MARTA WERE OUTSIDE with Tony a while later. The men were chopping firewood for Laura, and Marta was cleaning her guns a safe distance away from the house. Her hair was knotted into a bun on top of her head, a few strands loose near her face. Tony split a log, the sudden noise startling Marta. She was still shaken from the visions Wanda forced onto her. "Thor didn't say where he was going for answers?" Tony asked the super-soldiers.

"Sometimes my teammates don't tell me things. I was kind of hoping Thor would be the exception." Steve said, Marta eyeing him carefully from where she sat cleaning out her pistols.

"Yeah, give him time. We don't know what the Maximoff kid showed him." Tony ignored Steve's jab at him.

Steve split a log, Marta loading one of her pistols, placing it into her back pocket. "'Earth's Mightiest Heroes.' Pulled us apart like cotton candy." Steve sighed, grabbing another log.

"Seems like you walked away all right." Tony said, having noticed the way Steve ignored his own visions to focus on Marta.

"Is that a problem?" Steve put his log down, turning towards Tony. Marta sighed, knowing that an altercation between Steve and Tony was inevitable.

Tony raised his axe. "I don't trust a guy without a dark side. Call me old fashioned." he broke apart a log.

"Well, let's just say you haven't seen it yet." Steve countered.

"You know Ultron is trying to tear us apart, right?" Tony said, moving to grab another log.

Steve could feel Marta's intentful gaze on him. "Well I guess you'd know. Whether you tell us is a bit of a question." Steve swung his axe and split a log.

"Steve." Marta said quietly, the man looking back at her, noticing the way her eyes warned him against fighting with Tony.

Tony walked towards Steve. "Banner and I were doing research." he justified his actions.

"That would affect the team." Steve said, avoiding eye contact with Marta as she finished cleaning her guns.

"That would end the team. Isn't that the mission? Isn't that the 'why we fight', so we can end the fight, so we get to go home?" Tony shouted, Steve holding another log.

Out of frustration and anger from both Tony's words and his visions, Steve effortlessly ripped a log in two, dropping the wood to the ground. "Steve." Marta said with more force than the last time, watching as Steve inhaled a breath to calm himself at her warning.

"Every time someone tries to win a war before it starts, innocent people die. Every time." Steve said, speaking out of his own experience, as well as Marta's.

Laura walked over to the three. "I'm sorry. Mr. Stark, uh, Clint said you wouldn't mind, but, our tractor, it doesn't seem to want to start at all. I thought maybe you might..." the woman trailed off, unsure of what she was interrupting.

"Yeah, I'll give her a kick," Tony turned towards the barn. "Don't take from my pile." he pointed to Steve as he left with Laura.
