꧁ 𝟤𝟢𝟣𝟨, 𝗅𝖾𝗂𝗉𝗓𝗂𝗀, 𝗀𝖾𝗋𝗆𝖺𝗇𝗒 ꧂TONY HAD GOTTEN WORD THAT Steve and his reinforcements were heading to the airport in an attempt to leave Germany. Marta hadn't known where they were going, so she wasn't lying when she told Ross that she was unaware. Despite the deep fight Marta was in with Steve, she would never betray him. She just couldn't. Tony had called Rhodey, so once their team, including a fifteen-year-old boy and T'Challa, was ready, they headed to meet Steve at the airport after evacuating it.
Tony and Rhodey flew in first, landing on the pavement in front of Steve, slowing him to a stop. "Wow, it's so weird how you run into people at the airport. Don't you think that's weird?" Tony asked War Machine, opening his helmet.
"Definitely weird." Rhodey agreed as Marta walked onto the scene, her hood and mask down, hair braided and pinned as usual.
"Hear me out, Tony. That doctor, the psychiatrist, he's behind all of this." Steve said, forcing his eyes away from his wife.
T'Challa appeared, leaping over a truck and rising to his feet across from Marta. "Captain." T'Challa said darkly. He was a sensible man, and when Marta spoke to him, he made it clear he didn't blame her, but he couldn't not go after her brother, and Marta understood. She didn't try to make a case that Bucky was innocent, because she herself didn't know that for sure yet.
"Your highness." Steve bowed his head to T'Challa.
"Anyway, Ross gave me 36 hours to bring you in. That was 24 hours ago. Can you help a brother out?" Tony walked behind Rhodey.
"You're after the wrong guy." Steve said strongly.
"Your judgment is askew. Your old war buddy killed innocent people yesterday." Tony said, and Marta's strong gaze faltered. Her brother wasn't a killer. It wasn't his choice.
Steve looked at Marta, shocked that she wasn't saying anything. "And there are five more super soldiers just like him. I can't let the doctor find them first, Tony. I can't." Marta snapped her head to her husband, shocked that he hadn't told her that.
Natasha arrived on the scene. "Steve... you know what's about to happen. Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?" the redhead spoke warrily.
But Steve ignored the woman and turned back to Tony. "All right, I've run out of patience. Underoos!" Tony shouted, and Peter shot a web and stole Steve's shield while also binding his hands before landing on top of a truck. Marta had to admit it, she was impressed. "Nice job, kid." Tony praised his recruit.
"Thanks. Well, I could've stuck the landing a little better. It's just the new suit... Well, it's nothing, Mr. Stark. It's–it's perfect. Thank you." Peter rambled, Marta rolling her eyes.
"We don't really need to start a conversation." Marta said, cutting off Peter's rant.
"Okay, yes, ma'am. Mrs. Barnes-Rogers. Lieutenant." Peter said, stumbling over his words.
Marta sighed. "We're good." she said, glaring at Tony for his 'brilliant' idea.
"Okay. Cap... Captain. Big fan, I'm
Spider-Man." Peter said awkwardly, still holding Steve's shield."Yeah, we'll talk about it later. Just... Good job." Tony said, trying to speed things along.
Steve nodded towards the kid. "You've been busy." he spoke distastefully.
