Steve, holding the scepter, jumped down off a high balcony. He turned to help Marta down, but she was landing beside him. "I was gonna catch you. It was gonna be all romantic, and everything." Steve said, slightly disappointed. As Marta stood up straight.
Marta smiled with a light laugh and slid their rings off of her necklace. "As romantic as this?" Marta slid Steve's wedding ring back onto his finger.
Steve had a bruise forming on the side of his face. He took Marta's ring and placed it back on her finger where it belonged. He kissed her deeply. "Maybe we'll go on a trip when we fix everything." Steve said.
"We never did get our honeymoon." Marta said with a playful tone, and Steve sighed. They could've had one during the five years of darkness, but it didn't feel right.
"You'll get your honeymoon, eventually." Steve said, and Marta smiled, running her finger across his cheek gently, his blonde hair messy.
Suddenly, Tony spoke. "Cap. Mrs. Cap," he said, sitting in a broken car with Scott. "Sorry, guys, we got a problem." Tony said, looking out of the window, not at the startled married couple.
Scott scoffed, sitting in the backseat. "Yeah, we do." he added, Tony rubbing his forehead.
"Have you guys been there the whole time?" Marta asked, uncomfortable at the thought. She and Steve were rarely affectionate in front of other people, even their close friends. They preferred privacy, especially now that they had Steven.
Tony and Scott explained everything that had happened. Scott was now outside of the car, pacing. "Well, what are we gonna do now?" Steve asked in a tone that was similar to the way he talked to his son when he had done something wrong.
"You know what? Give me a break, Steve. I just got hit in the head with the Hulk." Tony said, still sitting in the car.
"You said that we had one shot. This– this was our shot. We shot it. It's shot. Six stones or nothing. Six stones or nothing." Scott said passionately, Marta sighing. She was too old for this crap.
"You're repeating yourself, you know that? You're repeating yourself." Tony replied, leaning out of the shattered car window.
Scott pointed at Tony. "You're repeating yourself. You're repeating yourself. You know– No." he cut himself off.
Marta rolled her eyes. "Dude, come on." he said to Scott in disdain.
"You never wanted a time heist, you weren't on board with the time heist–" Scott continued, aiming to place blame.
"I dropped the ball." Tony admitted.
"You ruined the time heist." Scott said with accusation.
"Is that what I did?" Tony asked snarkily.
"Yeah!" Scott shouted.
Marta lost her mind. "Shut the fuck up!" she demanded with authority, and both men silenced instantly.
Steve looked over at her, growing more worried by the minute that something was really wrong with her. "Are there any other options with the Tesseract?" Steve asked calmly, getting back on subject.
