CLINT LANDED THE QUINJET IN a large field with a farmhouse in the distance. Confused, the Avengers filed out of the jet and followed Clint, who was helping Natasha, up to the house. Marta still held Steve's hand, unwilling to let go. She hadn't said anything since Wanda's attack on her mind, and she wasn't planning to anytime soon. "What is this place?" Thor asked first, walking onto the porch.

"A safe house?" Tony repeated what Clint had told him on the jet as a question, walking beside Thor.

"Let's hope," Clint opened the front door, allowing the Avengers into the house. Steve didn't dare to seperate his hand from Marta's, knowing that she needed him close to her. "Honey, I'm home," Clint called into the house, Marta's brows furrowing in confusion. Walking in from the kitchen, a very pregnant woman was surprised at all the unexpected guests in her home. "Hi. Company. Sorry I didn't call ahead."

Marta saw the ring on the woman's left hand and assumed that she was Clint's wife.

"This is an agent of some kind." Tony said as Clint and the woman embraced.

Clint turned. "Gentleman, Marta, this is Laura." he introduced his wife, Natasha clearly already knowing her.

"I know all your names." Laura smiled. Tony waved awkwardly, and no one quite knew what to say or do.

Footsteps sounded from the stairs. "Ooh, incoming." Clint walked to the stairs as two children, a boy and younger girl ran over to him.

"Dad!" the girl yelled, Clint picking her up into his arms. Marta's heart ached at the scene, Wanda's vision playing in her mind once more. She wasn't a mother, and maybe she never would be.

"Hi, sweetheart! Hey, buddy! How you guys doing?" Clint hugged both of his children, Steve's confused expression matching Thor's.

"These are...smaller agents." Tony said to the team as they watched Clint's family in surprise.

Clint lowered his daughter to the ground. "Did you bring Auntie Nat?" she asked hopefully.

Natasha was still reeling from whatever Wanda had made her see, but her face lit up as she moved towards Clint's daughter. "Why don't you hug her and find out?" the girl, Lila, rushed to Natasha, the spy lifting her with ease.

"Sorry for barging in on you." Steve said to Laura, his thumb casually running across the back of Marta's hand.

"Yeah, we would have called ahead, but we were busy having no idea that you existed." Tony remarked, Clint holding his son, Cooper, close to him.

The man shrugged. "Yeah, well Fury helped me set this up when I joined. He kept it off S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files, I'd like to keep it that way. I figure it's a good place to lay low."

As Natasha and Laura spoke, Marta looked down to see Thor stepping on a figurine made by one of Clint's kids. She and Steve looked down at the blocks, and then at Thor, an accusing look on Marta's face. Thor shrugged, kicking the blocks under the couch. Lila walked over to Thor, saying nothing, just staring up at him. All of a sudden, Thor stormed out of the house, Steve and Marta following him. "Thor." Steve said to the God.
