Third person POV

POW!

Tress's heart pounded in her chest as she struck out at Illumi, her fist connecting with his jaw in a swift, powerful blow. He staggered back, momentarily thrown off balance. Seizing the opportunity, she turned her attention to the device latched onto Alluka's mouth.

"Alluka!" She clawed at it, trying desperately to break it free, but she knew it was futile.

'Damn it! I need the key to deactivate it! But it's likely in Illumi's possession.'

Her eyes flicked back to Illumi, who remained eerily calm, his emotionless gaze fixed on her.

'That annoying bastard!'

Anger and frustration surged within her, but before she could make another move, the train shook violently.

'Now what?!'

A deafening roar filled the air as the cars began to separate from one another, deviating from their track. It's likely due to Kalluto's Nen ability. The cabin they were in lurched precariously, teetering on the edge of a cliff.

CREAK. SHOOK.

'Alluka!'

Without a moment's hesitation, Tress threw herself over Alluka, using her body as a shield. The train cabin groaned under the strain, its metal frame screeching as it began to collapse. Tress tightened her hold on Alluka, her mind racing.

'I can't let anything happen to her!' Tress shut her eyes from the impending doom.

CRASHHHHH!!!!!

The world outside blurred into a chaotic mix of motion and noise as the cabin continued its descent. Tress felt the impact as the train car smashed against rocks and debris, the force jarring her bones and knocking the breath from her lungs. But she held on, refusing to let go of Alluka. The weight of her responsibility pressed down on her—she had to save Alluka, no matter what.

With a sudden burst of energy, Tress shifted her position, pulling Alluka closer and trying to find a more secure spot within the precarious cabin. The device was still latched onto Alluka, draining her strength, but Tress couldn't afford to focus on that now. Their immediate danger was the cabin itself.

The train's remnants groaned and shuddered, the edge of the cliff crumbling slowly under the weight. Tress scanned the cabin, looking for anything that might provide a foothold or a way out. Her eyes landed on a partially broken window near the top of the tilting car.

"...!"

Summoning every ounce of strength, Tress maneuvered towards the window, dragging Alluka with her. She could feel the cabin beginning to give way, the angle becoming more precarious with each passing second.

"Hold on, Alluka," she whispered fiercely. "We're getting out of here."

With a determined grunt, Tress hoisted Alluka up, pushing her towards the broken window. The wind whipped around them, the sound of the crumbling cliff echoing ominously. Tress managed to get Alluka through the opening, clambering after her just as the cabin started to slide.

They tumbled onto the rocky ledge outside, the cabin finally breaking free and plummeting into the abyss below. Dust and debris filled the air, the sound of the crash reverberating up the cliffside.

"Cough... Cough."

Coughing, Tress pulled Alluka away from the edge, her heart pounding with relief and adrenaline. She glanced back, seeing Illumi standing just inside the wreckage, unfazed, his cold eyes watching them.
