Chapter 59 - Deku Vs Todoroki

The stadium quieted as the anticipation grew. Deku Vs. Todoroki. Both of their previous matches, had made quite the spectacle. Deku's first display of his quirk against Shinsou had almost completely destroyed a good amount of his fingers. His drive alone to get Shinsou, a person with a mind control quirk, was something Pro-heroes were on the look out for, but his weakness, was detrimental. 

Todoroki on the other hand, son of the number 2 hero, with an exceptional quirk, not only made a powerful display of his quirk in his first round, but all through out the festival. His quick thinking, and powerful ice quirk made him nearly unstoppable. 

"What a way to kick off round 2!!" Present Mic announced to the stadium, his enthusiasm riling up the crowd as both Midoriya and Todoroki climbed onto the cement stage. 

Y/N watched from the stands next to Sero and Kaminari, her eyes trained on both of them. She didn't know much about Midoriya's quirk, just how... broken it made him. Putting her personal feelings aside, she knew too much about Todoroki's quirk. His ice was amazing, and so far he has refused to use his fire quirk. Even when they had trained. 

"What are you thinking about Y/N?" Sero asked, his eyes looking her up and down he noticed her faze down at the arena looking between Midoriya and Todoroki, "Your man's per-chance-" 

She rolled her eyes her analytical thoughts subsided for a moment, "Just thinking about the possible outcomes-" 

"What do you mean?" 

"Well Todoroki is a long rang fighter- he doesn't do well in close combat. just in the games alone, when we were in the first round, he used his ice to keep everyone away from him and make things harder for everyone to advance. Then in the second round, he not only froze some teams to the ground, but also at the very end her created an ice wall to keep his and Midoriya's team secluded. We only got in there cause of my fire...." 

Kaminari scoffed, "You almost sound like Midoriya with all that analyzing" 

"Ha- well one of us has to- last i checked I was the only of us three to make it to the second, one of them will win, and I may have to fight them" Y/N returned the scoff with a playful grin. 

"So how do you think it will end?" Sero asked 

"I don't know- It could end either way. One way Todoroki keeps Midoriya at bay with his ice, eventually Midoriya will break his body and will have no choice but to quit..."

"So Midoriya has no chance?" Sero sighed, "At least now I won't be the only one who didn't stand a chance against him." 

"Not exactly Sero- You and Todoroki are both long range fighters, you were at a disadvantage the moment you were both paired together. The only thing going for you was how quickly, you react in the beginning and even then..." She looked him in the eyes, "Nice try you know?" 

"Yeah yeah don't rub it in, my ego can only take so many hits." He grabbed his chest playfully, as if he'd been shot with an arrow.

Y/N quieted her fingers resting on her chin, could Midoriya win this? 

"All Midoriya has to do is get close to him, if he could do that Todoroki will be forced to have to fight in close range, he's arrogant enough to not have thought he would ever be in that position." She sighed, "But that's a lot easier said than done, realistically, I wouldn't put it past Todoroki to just immobilize Midoriya in a similar fashion he did to you Sero if he truly felt cornered."

"So Midoriya is screwed got it-" Kaminari said, his eyes going back to the match just as it was starting. 

"He's smart- he's probably figured out some other way-" Y/N said sitting comfortably to watch the match. Her personal feelings aside, this match was something she looked forward to. Her eyes went from Midoriya to Todoroki. Something about him was off, but he'd been off all day. This was different he seemed to have so much more baggage on him since his match with Sero.
