A/N: I'll be shameless in telling you this but- Boo! Today is my birthday. (25th November) A perfect day to post this chapter haha. But seriously, it sucks growing a year older. Big time. :(

Anyways, enjoy the chapter. It's very long though.

VANSH

Right now I was going through the most excruciating experience- The dilemma of choosing the desired dish from the canteen. It was a close match between chilly chicken, cheeseburger and cutlets.

I chose what my taste buds wanted, buying all three of them. To hell with saving money, I'll think about that shit later.

I was halfway through my journey in finishing my delicious food when I noticed Ahana passing by the canteen with a group of friends. A pang of guilt struck me but I ignored it, wanting to focus on eating. It was when she was about to exit the canteen, I could ignore no more. I decided to approach her while grabbing the remaining cheeseburger from the table.

I did felt guilty for being a little rude to her yesterday when she was only offering a helping hand. I wanted to avoid her mentioning about the fest so I started talking about everything else except that. Oddly enough, she didn't seemed mad, hurt or disappointed. She was her usual self in the most normal way.

"You're such a sweet, understanding person," she said in a sugarcoated voice.

Since when? "Something happened, didn't it?" I said, throwing her a suspicious look.

"No seriously, you're so understanding," She said while battering her eyelashes.

I rolled my eyes. "Cut to the chase already."

"The event manager has accepted our request from before so you'll be officially participating in the magic show," she recited quickly as if her life depended on it. She took a few steps away after seeing my shocked face.

"Wow!" I exclaimed sarcastically. "That's what friends are for. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a show to cancel," I said, plastering my most sarcastic smile and was about to leave for the office when she spread her hands in an attempt to block my path.

"I won't let you. This is a golden opportunity Vansh. Atleast give it a try now that you're in. If you still feel uncomfortable afterwards then I gladly let you back out. But if you give up now then you'll be nothing but a king of all the cowards out there," she said seriously while her hands were still raised sideways.

King of all cowards? I chuckled. "Were you watching a Shahrukh khan movie yesterday? I questioned, slightly disturbed by a girl doing a generic Shahrukh Khan pose. A frown etched at her face. She dropped her hands down but stopped me from taking another step as she stood right in front of me. I became slightly self conscious due to the minute distance between us. "Ste- step aside otherwise-"

Her nose flared. "Otherwise what, huh?" She said while looking at me straight in the eye but her face was giving away her nervousness.

"I will-" I paused and my gaze dropped at the piercing near her lower lip. A smirk made its way to my face. "Do this," I finished and started tickling at her sides.

She soon bursted into a fit of giggles and pressed her arms to her sides to stop me from tickling. I took that chance to escape from her.

"Just you waaaait-" I heard Ahana's voice and I turned back to see her chasing after me like a madwoman with a creepy smile on her face. For a second, I was actually scared of her. I turned to the front and increased my speed.
