Who is your favorite author (It can be on Wattpad or in general)?

My favorite author is @hepburnettes! Her writing is beyond mind-blowing.

What inspired you to first start writing? Is it a big part of your life?

Writing is a HUGE part of my life. What really inspired me was in second grade, when I was given an essay prompt that no one expected us to finish, it was like placement. I wrote 2 and a half pages, destroying the average of the other kids, which was around two paragraphs. I realized that I had a passion for it.

What was your reaction when you first hit over 10 thousand reads?

When I first hit over 10k reads, I remember just coming home from school and checking my notifications. Nobody else was home yet, and I literally was jumping up and down and screaming, "Oh my god! Oh my god!" over and over again.

What can you say to frustrated writers who work hard but never get many reads?

Just keep pushing through. You write for YOU, not anyone else. When you start to write for others, you begin to lose quality in your work and lack creativity and inspiration. If you keep writing because you want to, you will eventually build up reads.

Can you connect to any of the characters in your stories?

Kind of. For example, in my upcoming story, Queens, I can really relate to some aspects of the female main character, Noelle, but others I can't even imagine. In my short story, Shrink, I can relate to Paris' fellings of wanting to give up before the fight has even started.

Where do you get inspiration for your stories?

I usually put together/find a playlist on either 8tracks [forevernovemberx] or Spotify [abhayaveluru]. Once in a while, a single song draws me in and I play it on repeat as I write dozens of chapters. I also surf weheartit [cartoongirling] for images for covers, which in turn inspire me to write.

How did you find about this website [Wattpad]?

I was looking for platforms on which to share my stories, and I stumbled upon Wattpad while doing so.

What has influenced your current style of writing?

Currently, confident main characters who have a backstory have been inspiring my writing. When Queens is published, readers will see how Noelle is different than some of my other characters because of this.

Lastly, do you have any advice in general for up and coming wattpad writers?

Get family, friends, strangers, anyone, to read and share your book. Chances are, if they like it, then others will too.
