My next interview is with rdysasi, who's story Paint You Wings // Ashton Irwin [au] has over 680k reads and counting. I find her work to be very well written and definitely recommend her as your next author to check out.

Also, this is my 50th interview!!! I remember when I first started this book as more of a reference for myself, but since then it's become much more. Thank you for all the support and most importantly, thank you to all the talented writers who've been a part of this!! Anyways, here's the interview:

Who is your favorite author (It can be on Wattpad or in general)?
My favorite author would have to be Colleen Hoover. I love Young/New Adult Fiction and her writing style is inspiring to my own.

What inspired you to first start writing? Is it a big part of your life?
Back in high school, I was always told by my teachers that I was a good writer. However, I only saw it as a hobby and didn't start actively writing until early 2014 when I started reading fanfiction again. I have always been an avid reader of fanfiction and I appreciate the creativity behind it. After seeing Anna Todd's success, I decided to try writing again and I never knew how much I loved it until then. Writing is a huge part of my life and I'm working on completing a minor in Creative Writing in college to further improve my skills. I want to make a career out of writing even if the chances are slim.

What was your reaction when you first hit over 600k reads?
When I hit over 600k reads I freaked out. I literally stared at my phone, took a screenshot of the number of reads, and sent it to my friends and family. It was unbelievable and I'm so grateful for all my readers who got me there.

What can you say to frustrated writers who work hard but never get many reads?
Be patient. There's no use in getting frustrated over something you can't control. It's easier said than done, but just know that your work will be seen and appreciated. In my opinion, it shouldn't be about the numbers. As long as you're happy with your work and you feel a sense of pride in it, everything will fall into place and you'll be amazed as to what can happen.

Can you connect to any of the characters in your stories?
I can connect to several characters in my stories, but one in particular is Emilia. Like her, I used to live a very cautious life until I met people who helped me break out of my shell and gain confidence in myself.

Where do you get inspiration for your stories?
Mainly personal experience. But whenever I'm at school or anywhere for that matter, there are times when I overhear conversations that will spark an idea.

How did you find about this website [Wattpad]?
I want to say that I found Wattpad when I was searching for a One Direction fanfiction to read back when I really liked them, but I can't say for sure.

What has influenced your current style of writing?
I've always had a prosaic style of writing. I'm not really sure what influenced me to write in such a way, but I feel like readers can connect with a story more that way. Whenever I read other books, I read as both a writer and reader and pick up on the different styles of writing the authors' possess and try to incorporate a little bit of it into my own writing.

Lastly, do you have any advice in general for up and coming wattpad writers?
Always practice writing and try not to compare your writing to others. Don't be afraid to share your imagination with the world. Have fun with it!
