60. How You Decide To Have Kids

Steve:

A little while after the two of you got married you decided to sit down with Steve and have a serious discussion about kids. After talking for quite a while it was clear that you both wanted to have kids, but that now wasn't the right time. You decided to wait about a year and then reevaluate how you felt about it then. (Spoiler: You decide that it's time for kids during your reevaluation conversation.)

Bucky:

During one of the last Winter Soldier missions a young child was orphaned and Bucky couldn't bring himself to forget the boy or forgive himself for being the cause of his parents' deaths. After the two of you got married Bucky went to look for the boy and found him in a terrible foster home. He rushed home and told you about where the boy was living, and you knew immediately that something had to be done and the two of you decided to adopt the boy yourselves and give him a better home.

Pietro:

You brought up having kids to Pietro a few weeks before your wedding. He said he wanted them, but he also confessed that he wasn't quite ready to be a dad. You were ready for kids, but you understood that Pietro wasn't so you were okay with waiting and decided to let him bring it up with you. Just after your three year wedding anniversary he started hinting at wanting kids until eventually your silence on the matter, made him realize that it was time to just be up front about it, and admit he was ready to have kids.

Loki:

After nervously avoiding the conversations for a while you eventually ended up confessing to Loki, while drunk, that you didn't want to have kids. He surprised you by telling you that was perfectly okay not having kids and that he was honestly quite happy to have you all to himself for the rest of your lives. He brought it up again when you were sober to make sure that you were okay with the decision and you definitely were.

Clint:

You and Clint had briefly discussed the fact that you both wanted kids when you were engaged, but the decision to actually have kids was made for you. A few months after the two of you got married, you found out you were pregnant and you were ecstatic. When you told Clint he was just as happy as you were and the two of you immediately started talking about baby names and planning for the nursery.

Thor:

There was never really any conversation that happened between the two of you, but a year after you got married you both started mentioning different things you would teach your children. A few weeks later you were pleasantly surprised to find out that you were pregnant. As soon as you told Thor he went into full dad mode and stated preparing for life with kids, which was particularly good because you found out that you were having twins.

Tony:

That conversation had to happen after you accidentally ended up pregnant and had to tell Tony about it. It was definitely a surprise to both of you and it made you incredibly nervous for what Tony would say and how the two of you would be as parents. In the end though Tony was incredibly happy and that made you feel a lot better about having a kid and excited about seeing Tony as a dad. 

Natasha:

Natasha had dealt with not being able to have kids herself a long time ago and had come to the conclusion that she was comfortable without having kids. Before you two got married she brought this up with you and you understood. Honestly you had never really thought about having kids so it wasn't really a big deal for you to have a future with Nat that didn't include having kids. 

Wanda:

During your first Christmas together after getting married you and Wanda both felt that there was something missing from your holiday celebrations. After hesitantly bringing it up the two of you talked about the missing piece for a while until you eventually figured out that you were both missing having kids around. Then you discussed adopting a child of your own, less than a week later you were filling out the required paperwork to apply for your first adoption.
