Steve:

You had spent years teaching Steve about all kinds of modern technology and for the most part he had managed to learn most of the basics. He could handle the easy stuff, but anything that got a little complicated or involved any sort of wiring was still a bit of a struggle for him. You really wanted him to learn though and he tried really hard, which is how you ended up in your current situation.

You had recently bought a new printer for the house, because your old one had been struggling for a while before finally dying. The new replacement was really nice and had wireless printing capabilities, perfect for printing from your laptops. As a challenge for Steve you asked him to set it up. You knew it would only take you ten minutes to do, but you really wanted to get Steve to figure it out himself. Before he had even completely un-packaged the printer he had taken out the manual and read the entire thing. Once he had finished reading he pulled the printer out and started setting it up, while you watched from across the room to make sure nothing catastrophic happened. Things seemed to be going pretty well, no fires, no flashing red lights, or alarming noises.

Steve looked over the set-up directions once more and then decided to try printing a document for a test run. That was where things didn't work out, after hitting print he stood back and watched the printer waiting for the document. Nothing happened for several minutes so Steve inspected the printer. You watched as he looked back and for the between the printer and computer, and tried printing the document several times. Still nothing happened and Steve was looking increasingly perplexed, so you decided to take mercy on him. Getting up from your spot you made your way over to him.

"How's it going?" You asked and Steve turned back to you with a defeated look on his face.

"I thought it was going fine, but the thing won't print." He gestured somewhat angrily in the direction on the printer. "I set the whole thing up with all the settings and preferences, put in the ink cartridge, and paper. I made sure the printer showed up as an option when I printed and clicked on it. I even double checked to make sure that the computer and printer were connected to the wireless network. I followed every step in the book and I have no idea what's wrong." He shook his head and rubbed his hands over his face, frustrated by the situation at hand. You thought for a second before responding.

"When you finished setting up the printer preferences did you hit 'Okay' to indicate you were done?" He suddenly looked over at you and annoyed expression on his face before reaching forward and grudgingly hitting the okay button. As soon as he did the document started printing and you smiled over at him, giving his shoulder a playful nudge. "See, I knew you could do it." You turned and quickly walked away trying hard not to suppress your laughter. You did happen to hear Steve grumbling under his breath though.

"I hate computers."

Clint:

You sighed as you pulled into your driveway and found a dark house sitting in front of you. Not a single light was on, which meant that the thunderstorm you had just been driving through had resulted in a power outage. As you walked inside you prepared yourself to deal with two very upset kids, both of your twins hated thunderstorms and no lights just made it worse. To your surprise you weren't greeted by two upset kids, in fact it seemed as though the house was pretty quiet. You quietly made your way upstairs to the kids room to check on them, only to hear quiet voices coming from the room.

You stepped up to the door and distinctly heard Clint's reading voice through the door. With a smile on your face you pushed lightly on the door and it opened silently. In front of you there were sheets stretched across the room, hanging from the bunk beds all the way over the dressers. All you could see under the fort was light and the shadows of your family as they sat in a little circle and it made you smile even wider. You chuckled lightly before announcing yourself.
