Sharna's POV

My daughter, Charna, is 14 years old and ever since the age of 7, she went mute. We're your average family living in New York, but I can't get my daughter to speak. She smiles and laughs and all, but she doesn't talk. I love her anyway. I decided to surprise her with a meet and greet to see her idol, Dasha Chesnokova. I told her we are going to the mall, but when we got inside she gasped. She knew what was going on.

She hugged me tight and I said, "I love you baby girl". She kissed me cheek and silently fangirled. There was a boy behind us in line from her school and he was fanboying (YES I MADE IT A THING) over Dasha too.

It was finally our turn. Dasha hugged her and said, "Hi cutie! You're beautiful, thank you for supporting me, I love you"

Charna smiled and hugged her. She softly muttered, "I love you".

I started to tear up. She spoke for the first time in 7 years and I couldn't be happier. I squeezed her tight, "baby you spoke!"

"Yeah, i guess I did" she giggled.

"Thank you Dasha" I said to the lady.

"Happy to help, ma'am"
