Momma's Girl

"Momma, it okay. I love you!" 6 year old Lauren toddled over to her mother, Sharna.

SHe struggled to climb onto the couch, but once she did, she plopped down in her mom's lap.

"Momma no cry. You too pretty" Lauren giggles as she wipes away Sharna's tears with her thumb.

"Thank you baby." Sharna smiled as she started to get up.

Lauren shouted, "NO. I do everything for you today, Momma. I help you. You relax"

Sharna kissed her daughters forehead as Lauren scurried off and brought in a pile of Disney movies and blankets so they could cuddle.

"Momma, I don't know what happened, but I love you, and you pretty, and talented and you deserve better" little Lauren kissed her mom's cheek as she cuddled up against her.

Sharna smiled and pulled her daughter closer, "I know it's all better when I have you"

"No mama, it's a better world because you're here"

"Where'd you hear that baby girl?" Sharna cooed.

"Heh, my beautiful and amazing role model. You."

Sharna smiled with tears in her eyes, knowing she impacted her daughters' life, and she was able to help her through hard times in life as well..

Lauren doze off to sleep and whispered, "Love you"
