Luca's words lingered in the air. Logan's face stayed unchanged. I didn't want him to give up his position for me. Luca enforced his hold on my neck and I gasped for air. " What's your answer, brother? " Logan looked from Luca to me and back. " The pack will never accept you as their Alpha. You understand that, right? "

Luca laughed because off Logan's words. " They don't have a choice. It's me as an Alpha or her as a rogue " Again, their was a short silence, before Logan felt on his knees. His look stayed on Luca and I. " I knew you would be stupid enough the give up your position for your stupid mate "

I wanted to say ' no '. Don't do it Logan. I didn't get the change because he said: " I ... Logan, Alpha of The Dark Heat pack gives the Alpha title to my half brother Luca " I felt a jolt pass through me and gasped for air. Logan wasn't an Alpha anymore. My wolf started to whine. She clearly felt that we had lost a part of our energy.

Luca started laughing. " Have fun guys " He said, before he ran away. I crawled towards Logan, who lay on the ground. " Logan? " I shook on his shoulders. After some time, he sat up. " You shouldn't have exchange .... " I said immediately. My eyes welled up with tears.

The whole pack was in danger now. All my friends and family members. All because of me. Logan wrapped his arms around me and pushed me against his chest. " I just have bought some time, Axelle " I looked at him. " What do you mean, you bought some time? " I asked him not understanding. " I can challenge him whenever I want to get the Alpha tittel back. I'm born as an Alpha Axelle. I'm much stronger than him. "

He kissed my forehead. " We just need to rest a little bit. We're rogues now. All ties with the pack have been broken. It has cost us some energy " He got up and pulled me with him. Then, he started walking. I didn't know where to. I just followed.

" Why did he do this? You must have made him very angry " Logan sighed next to me. " Luca is only half the son of the Alpha couple. That's why he didn't get the Alpha title, even though, he was the first born. I can understand that he feels ignored, but I'm not responsible for this. It's just the law "

Logan grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze. " I'm going to make everything right again. Don't worry " He smiled at me. I hoped he was right.
